About this property
Panorama | Sweeping Bighorn Mountain Views | Spacious 3-Bedroom Walk-Out Retreat | Renovated Spa Bathroom | Western Living Room with Log Accents | Sheridan Wyoming Vacation Rental
Summary:
There are places you rent, and places you remember. This is the second kind.
Perched above the Sheridan Valley on a quiet hillside, this spacious walk-out retreat gives you panoramic views of the Bighorn Mountains from the moment you open your eyes in the morning. Not from a hotel window. From your own sofa, your own patio, your own coffee cup — with mule deer wandering through the yard and pheasants crossing the ridge at dusk.
The living spaces are wide-open, warm, and full of character — log-accented walls, Western artwork, a stone hearth nook, and windows that frame the kind of scenery people drive thousands of miles to see. The kitchen is fully loaded with granite counters and stainless appliances. And the bathroom? It was fully renovated — tiled walk-in glass shower, mosaic tile counters, solid wood vanity. Guests consistently call it a highlight. - Please note it is accessed through the primary bedroom.
Three bedrooms sleep your group comfortably: a spacious master suite with the en-suite bathroom, a cozy queen room with warm furnishings, and a flex room with a daybed — perfect for the kids or a solo traveler who just needs a quiet space.
This is your basecamp for the Bighorns, your front-row seat to Wyoming wildlife, and one of the most genuinely comfortable retreats in Sheridan County. Managed by Wyo Stays — Sheridan's premier short-term rental company.
We're here before, during, and after your stay. Send us a message anytime.

The Space:
This is a walk-out lower-level retreat with its own private entrance — you come and go on your own schedule, completely independent. The space is much larger than it photographs: wide-open common areas, a full kitchen, and three private bedrooms spread across a thoughtful layout.
A few things worth knowing before you book — because we believe transparency makes for better stays:
This is a walk-out lower-level apartment. The living areas sit at ground level with patio access and big windows framing the valley view. The bedrooms are interior rooms — comfortable, quiet, and well-appointed, but without exterior windows that look out to the mountains. For guests who prioritize peaceful sleep in a quiet room, this is actually a feature. For guests expecting mountain views from their pillow, the living room and patio are where you'll want to spend your mornings.
The bathroom is en-suite to the master bedroom. It's a beautifully renovated full bathroom with a tiled glass shower and wide vanity — and it's the home's one bathroom. Families love this setup. Groups of unrelated adults should know it means routing through the master to reach it. We share this upfront so your experience exceeds every expectation.
The on-site owners live in the upper level of the home. They are warm, kind, and deeply respectful of guest space. Dozens of guests have noted they were completely unaware anyone was home upstairs. You have your own entrance, your own space, and your full run of everything below.

This property is very clean, quiet, and has great view! The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of towels, and lots of fun games to play. The host was easy to communicate with. Overall we would stay here again!
We were traveling through with my elderly mom and needed somewhere with a recliner. I happened to find this quickly and it was perfect! Great kitchen, plenty of bedrooms, well taken care of, the deer in the morning were our favorite. Unfortunately there is a huge fire, so we didn’t get to catch a lot of the views, but we will definitely stay again if we travel back through!!
We had such a nice time. The views are phenomenal and the owners super sweet. The house was lovely and well done. The listing is a little off as there is no pool, but they had plenty of games to make up for it! We used the grill and played cornhole.
The bathroom is in the master bedroom but we were able to navigate that even while staying with another couple.
Overall a great place to stay.
It was a very nice place to stay. However, if you are traveling with multiple people be aware that the 1 and only bathroom is through the master bedroom.
We didn't stay long because it was our last day and had to head to airport early. Cute, very clean apartment. Beautiful views. Very nice couple stays on top floor.
We were in town for the Bighorn 100, we visited Sheridan which is a short drive away and the mountain range. The lower level location worked great for our team of six. The only hurdle we had to work out was one bathroom inside the master suite. Otherwise lots of space, nice little kitchen and easy in and out ! Beautiful views right out back. Wonderful hosts.
Totally enjoyed the location, formally a resident of Sheridan County. Was well familiar with this home. I didn't read the fine print that the owners of the property live upstairs. It was awkward at times now that I know they are there. I would definitely rent again if you have multiple vehicles, parking is a little difficult. Beds were comfy. We enjoyed our stay again just awkward that the homeowners were upstairs and very involved on the property.
Property is as advertised
The bathroom situation isn’t ideal, but hey, everyone poops right?
Had an awkward situation happen though. Check-out is at 11a.m.
We left to drop off some of our friends for a 9:28a.m. tee time and we were back to the house by 10 to clean up. When we walked in the dishwasher was already running and the beds stripped and laundry started. It felt very awkward and we were genuinely uncomfortable.
I messaged the manager but never heard back about the situation.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Listing accuracy
Cozy basement with a nice Mountain View
Nice seating. Beds were clean and comfy. Nice lighting an view. Very quiet basement.
Had to clean up 2 messes on arrival, one on floor an one moldy wet one on window sill.
The only bathroom is in the Master Bedroom, no separate entry an door wouldn’t stay closed.
Very low ceilings if you are over 6’3 you won’t be standing in the shower an anything over that you will do lots of ducking to avoid head injury.
There are no mirrors in 2 of the 3 bedrooms an that makes getting ready for anything vary hard since there is only one bath. Driveway, walkway and parking are very poor for this unit.
Property Mgr was very easy to work with and made checkin an out easy.
It was a great location (not in the city but just outside) where you could sit outside and drink your coffee while looking at the beautiful mountains. Updated features in the bathroom and kitchen were a nice touch. Had coffee and snacks!
