Serene and Quiet County Cottage Near HWY 50

Welcome to our secret Shangri La of the Sierras! This studio guest house is on our private 1 acre property. We live in the main house. The guest house has its own private entrance and fenced in yard. This natural setting is peaceful yet close to everything you need. 7 minutes from HWY 50. Free range chickens and bunnies on main property. Not a good place for loud noise or partying but a calm quiet place to hide and restore yourself. Please note we do not offer bookings over 29 days. Thanks so much and safe travels!

Getaway Cottage

This great little cottage style home was perfect for our purposes as we awaited the completion of our home construction. It’s also a perfect stay for those who are looking for a peaceful location which has the feeling of remoteness yet close to many great locations and activities.

Local getaway

Mt husband and I needed a place to stay for a couple of weeks while our house was on the market. This location fit the bill. Quiet, well located neighborhood with a great host. AND our furry family members were welcome! Would stay again.

Quiet get away in an updated comfortable home

My pup and I needed a quiet place for the weekend while the airshow event was scheduled near our home and jets were were flying over the neighborhood. Loved staying at this quiet peaceful home. Nicely updated and comfortable home. Sarah is a great host (my dog Honey agrees)!

Quiet Restful Cottage

This has been one of our favorite places to stay. The host thought of everything. The cottage had everything we needed to enjoy a quiet getaway from our busy lives. Ideal location to Red Hawk casino. We willdefinitely tell everyone and stay again.

The house was super charming. In a very quiet neighborhood would definitely come back love the way it was decorated the fireplace. Added such a warm coziness that was comfortable. Everything we needed was there.

Second Visit - Great Place

Wonderful weekend

My grown daughter and I stayed here for a peaceful weekend away. It was very quiet and easy. We saw deer in the morning and were able to go to town quickly for our a pedicure and groceries. We had a wonderful weekend in this small and peaceful home.

Totally restful

We loved the cottage. Everything we needed was there. Our dog loved a fenced in yard to go out in. The weather was perfect and we really didn’t need the heater or the ac.

Cozy Neighborhood Hideaway

We enjoyed our 4-night stay in the cozy cottage with our two golden retrievers. There was plenty of room, the cottage was clean and had everything we needed to eat most of our meals in during our stay. The communication with the host was simple and had a quick turnaround. The owners give you all the space and privacy you would like. We would definitely stay again.

Stress Free!

It's a cozy place, secluded, and safe. The locals are friendly and the nearby restaurants are super Tasty! We visited Yuki Sushi (Amazing Cuts!!), Rey Mimosa (super friendly, food great) and Papa Italian Restaurant (absolutely to die for). There's a Chinese place too, but we didn't have the extra time to visit it. I will say it's a popular place. Yes, this property was great for us.

Relocating

I stayed at this cottage while relocating to the Sacramento area. Perfect set up for myself and my dog. Very private quiet and peaceful but very convenient to stores and access to the freeway The hosts are great. The cottage was easy to settle into and had a lot of nice touches and was well stocked.

Great Stay

Very relaxing stay. Self check in was super easy. The cottage was very nice and comfortable. It was well appointed, with everything we needed. Lot's of books and DVDS. There were even drinks and snacks in the kitchen! Our dog Lana enjoyed it as well. She was very relaxed and enjoyed the fenced in yard as well as some short walks. We would highly recommend and would definitely stay there again.

Quiet cozy NYE

We went up here for the long New Year’s weekend. The rental was very clean, well furnished, and had plenty of things for us to see, read and watch. We especially noticed the decorations from different cultures around the world. Well, we didn’t see chickens and bunnies this time we did see some deer and a very friendly cat. Highly recommend it.
