Beautiful Cottage
This property is absolutely beautiful and CLEAN. There was plenty of room for 5 people to move around. The newly completed covered backyard deck was impressive. So relaxing. Loved hearing the horses when they went by the house. This property is close to everything in Shipshewana. We walked everywhere, even to the flea market. We were so impressed with this property, we would like to stay here again in the future. You need to stay here too!

Perfect location

One concern
Only concern was that the pictures did/ could not show that there was a step up from kitchen into bedroom on ground floor. One of my friends who was with us uses a walker and she fell. I was looking for a place that was all one level and was not able to see it in the pictures. Other than that it was a lovely place to stay and we enjoyed it.

Quilter Vacation
We carried in two tables and spent four nights/three days machine piecing our quilt projects. The house was so clean and there’s a bed and bath on the main floor which was perfect for our friend who couldn’t do stairs. We’ve already booked a five night stay for next year and would highly recommend it to others. It’s a perfect location to walk to Lolly’s and other shops.

What a Lovely Home
We have stayed at many VRBO homes over the years, and this home was the absolute best! From the beautiful decor to the warm hospitality of the hosts, it couldn't have been better. It was obvious that much thought and caring went into the home to make it just right for the guests. The Christmas tree and decorations were an added touch! Thank You, Jessica, and family for a wonderful stay. We will see you again!

Great value!
Property was as advertised, just a couple blocks from downtown, and owner was responsive. We would stay there again! Appreciated the nice sized kitchen table for playing games, and the spacious living room. It was also great to have two bathrooms.

Family Weekend
The reviews of this home give a very accurate accounting of the home - we walked everywhere in Shipshewana, it’s super cute, calming, all we needed for a weekend with family. We appreciate the attentiveness of the owner, and had no issues. We would stay here again and we’d recommend it. Upstairs is better for younger legs but we were a multigenerational group and planned accordingly.

Cute comfortable place
Cozy home, nice bedding and towels. Beds are a little squeaky and the stairs are steep, but overall a great place to stay. Only 1 roll of toilet paper in each bathroom so bring your own. Plenty of room for the 5 of us and there were extra blankets and pillows if needed.

I'm so sorry that there wasn't more toilet paper left for your stay. We generally try to provide three full rolls and extra in the vanity. I'm very sorry if you didn't feel like you could contact me during your stay to provide a few extra rolls for you. I try to be easily accessible while we are hosting guests. We would love to have you back if you are ever in the area again.

Senior sister trip
Perfect setting and lovely old home. The only issues we had were the steep stairs and the soft mattresses. Not the best for 4 senior sisters that need to get up several times to use bathrooms that were downstairs. Maybe need an instruction book on how to operate TVs and other info. Hostess responded quickly.

Friends getaway
Very nice little house to stay in, close to shopping/restaurants. It does have steep stairs, but we had seen this in the reviews. I would suggest more light in the separate downstairs bathroom. Host was available if needed questions answered. They were redoing the curbs/sidewalks/roads around the house, so this made it difficult to get in/out of the house(nothing the host can do about that), but she was accommodating about that. We enjoyed our time there.

A gem amongst the chaos
The property was just what our group needed. It had a nice kitchen supplied with pans/utensils we needed. We spent a fair amount of time at the kitchen table playing board games and eating. The living room was comfortable and nicely decorated. When I needed answers or a couple of requests, Jessica responded quickly. My girlfriends and I had a lovely visit to the area.

Spacious and close to everything
This spacious home was perfect for our girls biking weekend away. It was clean and comfortable. As a friendly warning the stairs are steep and narrow but that is what you would expect to find in a charming old home. Despite its age, the rooms were updated and well appointed. Would definitely stay here again.

First off Jessica is a very sweet hostess, there was only 2 things that we did not like the house is so cute but the thermostat for the air was not working right would not shut the air off we had to turn it off completely. 2nd is they were working on the road digging and that was not her fault but they started at 6 in the morning and it woke us up everyday we were there. Jessica knows about the thermostat and she said they will fix that the road work will be done soon and i would stay there again in the future walking distance to town.

Best place to stay
This home was perfect for our group. There is a bedroom on the main floor and two upstairs. Very clean, stocked with paper towel. Toilet paper was provided but with 5 women we did purchase additional. We had enough towels for the week. This house is two small blocks away from the downtown if Shipshewana we walked to town on several occasions. Has WiFi and air conditioning. Owner was very accommodating! I would highly recommend and would not hesitate to stay again. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home.

Sisters Trip 2023
Location!! This is in a perfect location for Shipshawana and the surrounding area. It is within easy walking distance of several of the main areas of Shipshawana. The rooms were spacious, the beds were comfy, and decor made us feel right at home. Two of the bedrooms are upstairs. Whomever plans to use those should be aware of the steep staircase. Easy to use for younger people and highly active people. A bit of a challenge for the rest of us. Our group is aged 62-74, so two had a very difficult time with the stairs, and they stayed downstairs. Other two did fine. Other than the stove/oven, everything was spotless. Plenty of towels and washclothes. Plenty of choices for tea and coffee for the Keurig. Jessica was an excellent hostess and quick to respond to our needs.

We enjoyed our stay in this home very much. It was very clean. It had everything we needed and more for our stay. There was even a basket with some granola bars and pods for the Keurig Coffee maker. They also provided pamphlets of all the attractions in the area. My husband and I, who are in our 60’s, slept upstairs and it was no issue at all as the handrail was helpful. Other posts had concerns about the stairs but we found that to be a non issue. Communication was good with the owners. Our friends who were with us agreed with us about how homey it was and nicely decorated inside and out. I hope to stay here again with my daughters for a trip to Shipshewana sometime in the future.

Great location
This 3 bedroom house is located just 2 blocks from the Blue Gate Restaurant and downtown shops. The reason I rated a 4 star instead of 5 is the curtains in the bathroom off the living room were see through and there wasn’t a shade to pull at night. The neighbors would be able to see right in so we covered the window with a throw from the living room for privacy. There also wasn’t any coffee which we thought should at least be provided for the first day. Overall though it was the perfect house for the three of us since we each had our own bedroom. We would stay here again.

Very nice house a block from downtown Shipshewana
The house was very clean and well prepared for guests. The kitchen, living room, bathrooms and master bedroom were comfortable and well equipped. The upstairs bedrooms are heated by in room free standing radiators which was adequate because the weather was mild. One of the twin beds upstairs is extremely firm. Parking is on the street and not available during one of days we were staying there. We had to park around the block. Easy check in and check out. We will stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay at your property. Was a little surprised that there was no bathroom upstairs,, guess we didn't read the floor plan well enough. We are a group of 75 year olds and had a difficult time going upstairs; the treads are very narrow and no handrails made it scary for us to go up and down, especially in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. We have stayed in many VRBO homes in the past and found them to be better stocked with kitchen and bath supplies. Overall we had a good time but don't think we would rent again only because of the upstairs with no bathroom. While overall the house was clean, the inside of the stove oven was in need of a good cleaning.

Quick trip
We only stayed a couple of nights and we’re gone the majority of the day we were there but everything was just as we would have expected. Everything was clean there were plenty of linens, dishes and nice touches. We will for sure be looking to stay again on our next trip. Location is just a few blocks from the center of Shipshewana. House is super comfortable & clean.
