Shizuoka 2025

Found 3 individual room's for each of us at an excellent price. The hotel is also central just a walking distance from Shizuoka Station and Shin-Shizuoka Station. Stayed there for 4 nights and it was super comfortable and restful. I definitely recommend staying here. Great for Solo Travelers!

Convenient and compact hotel near the station

We needed an overnight stay near Shizuoka station and it was perfect. APA Hotels are extremely compact but convenient as it has everything you need in a hotel room.

Perfect stay experience

We enjoyed the excellent central location. Easy walk from Shizouka train station . Lots of shops, restaurants & local bars to choose from. Also access to easy driving to local attractions & scenic views of Mt Fuji . Yes we stay again . Very comfortable room for two adults .

Did its job and I was happy with the stay!

I wasn’t here for a luxury stay but was looking for a place to stay for the nights. It did its job. The room was small as expected but I was impressed how it was so clean and efficient. Recommend being in the main building as it is newer.

This is the second APA hotel we stayed in, on this trip. Overall, this hotel is also a great hotel. The rooms are excellent, though small. The beds are comfortable and cozy, linens very clean. Rooms are warm, may be a bit too much. Bathrooms are clean. The breakfast was excellent, great variety of Japanese items. The food and the service at the restaurant was excellent.

In Shizuoka

We had an amazing stay in Shizuoka! I just didn’t expect that the room was too small. Our luggage seemed too big for the room, although there’s under the bed storage. The room is clean. The staff were so polite. Excellent service.! We had our luggage transferred to our next destination, with a minimal fee. APA is just walking distance to trains, cafe, restaurants, shopping and illlumminations!

We consider APA a reliable travel partner, but this location was not as good as other locations. There is only one elevator for the multiple floors in this hotel, and there's a sign in the elevator cautioning the peak elevator times. The breakfast advertised Shizuoka specialties, but we didn't feel like they had much depth of flavor, and the tempura option was slightly hard. It did its job of filling us up but didn't leave a good impression. The tea and coffee included with breakfast were also weak. However, the tea offered in the lobby in the evening was exceptional. Please have some when you visit! We were also surprised this location did not have hot spring baths as have all the other APAs we have stayed. This location was convenient to the train station, shopping and dining, so it served us sufficiently. When we return to Shizuoka, I anticipate staying elsewhere though.

Very nice hotel a couple of blocks away from the station. Lots of dining options around, as well as nearby 7-Elevens. Breakfast was a choice of two options cooked there and then - very tasty ! I arrived before check-in and staff were happy to let me leave my bags in hotel so I could explore the city. Would be happy to stay at this hotel again.
