Highly recommend this hotel. Our two-bedroom suite was huge, clean, and comfortable. Easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. Most importantly, the hotel staff were welcoming and very helpful. Lin at the front desk helped us several times, including finding a last-minute guide and driver for the temples when our original plans fell through. We also had a fantastic afternoon with wonderful Chef Chum Chien, his assistant Koy, and their younger assistant at the hotel’s cooking class. We learned how to make delicious dishes including fish amok. The cooking class was one of the highlights of our entire visits to Cambodia. We loved Hotel Koulen and would very gladly return.

Amazing Hotel.
The 2BR suite we got is amazing, its very clean, spacious, full amenities and comfortable. The staff are amazing, with good english. Tuk tuk are always available in front of the hotel, although its a walking distance to the Pub Street. The only thing I would improve are email comunication before arriving, more english TV channel, and better breakfast quality.

This place was amazing! Great location, rooms were a good size and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The pool area is amazing to spend the afternoon after a hot day of sightseeing. Breakfast selection in the morning was great too. We enjoyed our time here immensely and would definitely stay here again.

Good stay in Siem Reap
Lovely hotel - the aesthetics were very nice. Wish the pool area was a bit bigger, but it was suitable and the hotel bar was very convenient. Breakfast was quite good and I was even able to secure a to-go breakfast basket for my sunrise tour day when I was leaving at 4:30am. It was full and quite good - breads with jam and butter, boiled eggs, bacon and fruit. Fruit was waiting for me in my room as well. I enjoyed the balcony view to the pool area. My room was upgraded to a 2-bedroom suite (though I still just had access to the one bedroom), which was theoretically nice but meant I had a huge cavernous space for just one person, much of the space seemed a bit wasted in its design. Staff are friendly but communication was a bit of a challenge overall: 1) From basic things like ordering chicken and getting beef, and ordering and iced latte and getting a hot one, to bigger things 2) despite the description on hotels.com and on their own website that suggests they have a spa, it is in fact an agreement with an outside company. You can either go there or have the masseuse come to your room - mine arrived 30 minutes late without communicating. I had inquired about spa services before my arrival via email when setting up my airport transfer and received a services list with prices so I knew what I wanted when I arrived. I was presented with an entirely different menu once I arrived on the premises. Please note that their currency exchange is extremely limited.

I stayed here for a week. All of the staff is extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming. They took care of my mother while she waited for me which is saying a lot about the staff and hotel. We loved the Koulen Hotel. We stayed in a 3 bed apartment, which provided everything we needed for our stay. Location is a big plus, as we wanted quiet rooms for restful sleep, but with all the convenience of being located beside Heritage Mall, and a very short walk to the river, Old Market and Pub Street. Staff at Koulen were very helpful and accommodating. They can help with all transport and booking requests. Breakfast was delicious and extensive offering Asian and Western choices. The pool area is a calm oasis and great to hang out in the afternoon heat as it is in the shade.

Amazing service from the team at Koulen Hotel. We booked a single apartment and friends the same. We were offered to change to a 2 bed apartment and it worked out better. We both had separate bedrooms and bathrooms that had a shared lounge / kitchen over looked the pool Location - just round the corner from the palace and about 10 mins to the main pub street and drinks. Easy via Tut tut. Staff - friendly. Courteous and helpful. They went out of their way to ensure we had a fabulous stay. Staff are available to provide tut tut rides into town and pre book a return so super handy. Trips - we had contacted the hotel ahead of our staff. They provided a long list of tours with English speaking guides. We booked 3 tours with them. It was seamless. The guide Rit was knowledgable and we had either an air con bus or tut tuts ( dependent on trip and Journey time ) and it was great. Well worth doing this with them. Food - breakfast buffet is great. Endless coffee and tea refills and everything from continental to cooked ( bacon / crepes/ omelette plus noodles and soups ). If you have a sunrise tour they will pack you a breakfast to take with you which was great. Restaurant on site was good food as well. Laundry is done off site but via reception and ask to pay per kg and it’s back later the same day if in before 1000. Spa - non on site. They did recommended a great spa in the centre Khmer reflex spa. Pool - relaxing. Cooling and lovely. Pool bar with service.

I really enjoyed my stay at Koulen. The pool and courtyard were amazing. The rooms were spacious. It was like having an apartment. The staff was friendly and very attentive. It was extremely convenient to the mall across the street and the river walk.

From the moment we stepped into the Koulen Hotel we knew we were at an amazing place. Everything from the staff, the rooms, and the location were beyond our expectations. In regards to the staff, they are all extremely accommodating and some of the kindest people I've ever met. They made myself, wife, and 2 young kids feel special our entire stay. The rooms are absolutely huge and have everything you need. The location is perfect in my opinion. Close to the Heritage Mall should you need any food and close enough to the markets and Pub Street if you want to explore (10 mins walk) but far enough away to make for a serene and relaxed environment. I HIGHLY recommend the Koulen Hotel to anyone visiting Siem Reap. We absolutely loved our stay and the kids are still talking about the pool and the amazing people.

Great location next to the new Heritage Walk. Could walk to the Angkor Watt Museum, Tuk-tuks to Pub Street. Nice swimming pool and court yard. 2 bedroom was pleasant with living room and kitchen. Had lunch twice and the food was very good. Excellent breakfast. Arranged drivers for Angkor Watt days with hotel.

Great stay with amazing staff!!
I have to say the most memorable part of my stay at Koulen was the staff and the service. The place itself is nice, large suites, quiet location. The TV wasn’t working too well because it seemed older and the pillows were a bit stiff. All very minor in comparison to the service, food and pool! Loved the large pool/area with plenty of sun. Food was pretty decent and the staff were so helpful. I would recommend staying at Koulen if you don’t want to be too near Pub Street but close enough where it’s a 10-15 min walk or 5 min Tuk Tuk ride away.

This property is a wonderful place to stay for your holiday vacation. Everyone is happy to help you in any way they can. They helped us get a tour guide and and driver with a car those two were the greatest as well. Ask for Mr. Sok to be your driver anywhere. He is very patient and helpful with all you want. Our tour guide Mr Chi was so knowledgeable about his country and the area. The hotel provided us both of these gems. If you are wanting a quiet comfortable place to stay near everything there is to do, this is the place to choose

It was an excellent stay at Kuolen Hotel and customer service was beyond our expectation. The 2-bedroom apartment is very spacious; the shared area is large enough for us to gather for our meals and enjoy a movie. The hotel staff remembers my mum's name and they are always there to greet us. We requested for half-boiled eggs for breakfast and the staff were patient to them right. Lastly, cocktails are 1 for 1 and we had a good time at the pool which was very clean.

Amazing hotel! If you are in the process of researching for your Siem Reap lodging, look no further and choose the Koulen Hotel. You will definitely be glad that you picked this hotel over the others. My wife and I love travelling and we are very picky when choosing our hotel. We did thorough research for the best hotel to stay at while in Siem Reap. We read reviews and looked through guests' photos. Koulen Hotel is conveniently located near malls, restaurants, and shops. It is a 15-minute walk or $2 tuk tuk ride to Pub Street. The hotel room is HUGE for the price that you pay. You will not find this much square footage for such a low price in other hotels. The customer service in the hotel is also top of the line! The staff are very warm and friendly. You can tell that the hotel management genuinely cares about providing the best quality to its patrons. The moment you check-in, you will feel welcomed and cared for by the amazing hotel staff. Throughout our travels, my wife and I have stayed at numerous hotels but Koulen Hotel tops them all.
