Costruito su un palazzo del 1300, gradevole negli arredi, letto comodo. La stanza è piccola e funzionale ma avrebbe bisogno di ristrutturazione soprattutto il bagno. Molto pulito. La colazione è adeguata. Gestione molto familiare, soprattutto alla reception, la titolare è persona gentile.

Das Hotel liegt in der Altstadt von Siena (deshalb leider keine Parkplätze). Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind in Laufweite. Die Einrichtung ist, wie der Name andeutet, allerdings auch 'antik'. Das Personal ist freundlich & zuvorkommend.

Great hotel and stellar service!

We were supposed to book a night with check-in the same day but accidentally booked it the week after... Since the reservation was non-refundable so it could have become a headache but luckily Antica Torre allowed us to come the same day without any additional costs. The lovely lady at the front desk (possibly the owner?) apologized for not having a bigger room available due to high occupancy but we were happy just to get a room that evening! We checked in to the characteristic hotel early evening on Saturday. After freshening up we asked for a dinner recommendation and received a map with several options within walking distance. We ended up at Antica Trattoria Papei and must say that the food and wine was world-class! We only stayed for one night and before checking out we were treated to a simple but good breakfast. 5 out of 5!

16th Century Hotel in Siena

The Antico Torre is a 16th century hotel, and has been kept in this style to fit into historic Siena. The room was comfortable, and there was lots of hot water. The view from our room was lovely over the rooftops, and ir was quiet bearing in mind the central location. Breakfast was acceptable although there wasn't a lot of choice, when compared to the other small hotels we had stayed in Tuscany. However bearing in mind the available space in the basement, they had done the best they could. There are 3 breakfast tables and 7 rooms, on one occasion we had to wait in reception for a table to become free. The rooms are accessed by flights of stone steps which means it would be impossible for an elderly person, or someone with mobility problems, as there is no lift or a male member of staff to carry any cases upstairs. Nb we had to walk up 6 flights of stairs to get to our room, and it was a struggle with our cases even though we are able bodied. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Wi-Fi was provided however there was no password protection.

Mittelalter pur

Kleine Zimmer, aber schön,so muss es in Siena sein. Bad rustikal, wir vermutlich nicht jeden gefallen. Hatten kein Frühstück dabei. Parken ist nur außerhalb der Stadtmauern erlaubt, wir haben sogar kostenfreien Parkplatz erwischt, unweit des Römischen Tores.

Such a nice stay

Quirky hotel

The lady on reception was very helpful and seemed to work very hard. This is a small hotel with small rooms and small bathrooms. It is nicely decorated with old features (beams in ceiling) but modern touches. Breakfast was basic but sufficient in a small room in the basement. Lovely landscape painted on the wall. Hotel is well located for everything and quiet. Cons: hard bed and no fridge or kettle. There is no lift in this hotel however this wasn't an issue for us.

Das Zimmer war sehr klein umd es gab nur Bettlacken keine warmen Decken. Im ganzem Hotel hat es sehr schmudelig gerochen, das Morgenessen war im Keller, es gab keon frisches Brot, war teilweise schon hart.....

Lovely hotel in a historical building!

Room on top floor with a view over Siena's rooftops and some Tuscan hills was very comfortable and clean. The hotel gives some nice and special antique feel, considering the few hundred years of history it has lived through. The hotel is located just enough away from rather busy and noisy old city center, which on other hand is reachable in about 5 mins walk. We very much enjoyed the courtesy of lovely and kind host Patricia. She kindly provided us with hot drinking water for our lazy coffee in room, also some cutlery so we could taste and enjoy in comfort of our privacy some delicious treat bought from special Siena shops. She will kindly give all necessary guide information about nearby restaurants and ideas for itinerary on Your stay in Siena. On our four nights stay at Antica Torre, we decided to stay in bed a little longer each morning before heading off to our Siena explorations, therefore can not give a fair judgement on breakfast. On the day of our departure, we were kindly allowed to leave our luggage in the lobby, and another kind girl from their staff called a taxi for us to get to the train station (the fare was around 10 EUR). Thank You to kind Patricia and hotel owners! We look forward to considering this hotel again on our next visit to Siena!

un petit détour à Sienne en revenant de Florence, nous avons trouvé l’hôtel charmant. la chambre est de taille idéale et la salle de bain est parfaite.
