Summary:
Charming house for 4 persons, with 3 large verandas and a garden with a beautiful view of the sunset. Ideally located off the center of Apollonia, yet a 5 min. walk away. It has a cozy living room with a dining table, a traditional kitchen with an exterior courtyard, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

The Space:
This beautiful traditional residence is located in the outskirts of Apollonia, the main village of Sifnos. A stylish house, with 3 large verandas overlooking the horizon and the sunset. It is private and tranquil, yet it's within walking distance from the center of Apollonia, where all the shops and restaurants are situated. It is a 3 min walk to Apollonia's municipal parking space and the bus stop.

The house consists of 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two bunk beds. It has a living room with a large dining table and a nice fully equipped kitchen. All rooms have ceiling fans. The house is equipped with two bathrooms, one indoors and one outdoors. It comfortably accommodates 4 guests.

The main veranda is in front of the house, on the entrance side, with a stone built sitting area with cushions, to relax and enjoy coffee or drinks watching the sunset. There is also plenty of space alongside, for guests to have lunch under the shade of the large olive tree entangled with the bougainvillea, creating a natural canopy. The big plus of this veranda is that it's shady all day.

The upper level veranda is more detached, secluded and offers privacy. It also has a large dining table.
Last, but not least, is the kitchen's side cozy courtyard which is preferable on windy days. There is also an outdoors shower.

The Neighborhood:
Although Sifnos is one of the most beautiful islands of the Cyclades, it has yet to be discovered by tourists. Its many picturesque villages, monasteries, hiking paths and clear water beaches are very well known in Greece. The island is also famous for its traditional pottery and delicious food.

Apollonia, its capital, has lost nothing of its traditional charm. You are just five minutes away from many shops selling local jewelry and pottery, as well as clothing and home furnishing. The town also offers restaurants serving regional or broadly ‘Mediterranean’ food, and a great nightlife with a full range of cafes, bars and clubs.
Kastro with its breathtaking views and Artemonas with its beautiful traditional architecture are two villages well worth visiting.

The monasteries of Profitis Ilias and Aghios Simeon offer a panoramic view of the whole island from above. The famous monastery of Chrysopigi, built on a rock by the sea, is another must! You can swim in the crystal clear waters of the sandy beach of Apokofto, next to Chrysopigi, or visit Platy Yialos, Vathi, and Fasolou. Afterwards, lunch at any of the local tavernas found on every beach.

There are numerous old paths that set out from this area towards the hills or the sea for those who love trekking.
