"This was a very nice hotel with a wonderful breakfast. Unfortunately, the description on Expedia was inaccurate and caused us some inconvenience. The Expedia description was that the hotel had a 24/7 reception, however, when we arrived at the hotel at 10:30 pm due to late train connections, no one was at the hotel. Luckily, the manager arrived and we were able to get into our room, but he also informed us that reception was only open until 10 pm. We had both emailed each other using the Expedia...

"Leider war bei der Ankunft keine da,keine Rezeption, keine Ansprechpartner. Schlüsseln mit Name im Flur gefunden und alleine eingecheckt. Frühstück war schön gedeckt, vielfältig und sehr lecker. "A traditional German gasthof with modern amenities. The high point is the view of the Austrian and Swiss Alps and the magnificent sunrise! Nice welcoming reception and excellent breakfast with something for everyone! The honeycomb is a highlight! Very much recommend this place if you have the time to enjoy the beautiful setting."

"A typical German Gasthof in stunning countryside. It was a pleasant stopover on our way from Italy to Frankfurt. The bedroom was adequate but a bit tired and the bed wasn’t the most comfortable but ok for one night. However, the friendly staff, reasonably priced restaurant serving local cuisine and an excellent breakfast made up for the slight disappointment with the room. "

"Check in was easy. Receptionist was very nice and showed us where breakfast was served. We had to purchase breakfast at the hotel, but it is well worth the price. Hot breakfast menu was in both German and English. Room was clean and cozy (stayed in the flower room), and even though it was located next to train station it was quiet. Staff were warm and friendly."

"We had a wonderfully relaxing stop. Well positioned for the train station and for exploring the area on the train. The room was very comfortable and clean, the pool area very inviting and the breakfast had a good variety. The family run establishment would do everything they could to make the stay more comfortable if you asked them. Not the hotel’s fault - but note that although it looks like there are lots of establishments around for dinner they don’t necessarily follow the hours you see on the internet. The hotel did have to help us out one night when all the restaurants had closed early since they were not so busy. I would recommend going out early to eat."
