Hand crafted Western Red Cedar log cabin with 2ft diameter logs from Vancouver Island, B.C. Perched 300ft up on a pine covered bluff gives you amazing panoramic views of the big lake. Watch the big ships sailing by from Silver Bay. Take an amazing bath in the copper clawfoot with a sweet view of the Apostle Islands across the bay. Warm up by the soapstone fireplace with a great view of Crystal Cave beach. In the loft enjoy a private master with bath and bunk room with built in queen and queen bunks with privacy curtains. Situated on a Red and White Pine bluff overlooking Lake Superior and surrounded by Tettegouche State Park with tons to do in the area. Ring camera doorbell is on site; located beside entry door. This cabin was custom built by Lake Country Log Homes; a premier log home builder of Canada.

The views are absolutely EPIC!!! We were up every morning for the sunrise because it was just too amazing to miss. The cabin was gorgeous! What dreams are made of. So much to do in the area. Our hosts were great! They contacted us just before the day of arrival with great suggestions, and opened line of communication if we had any questions. The cabin was clean and furnished with everything you could possibly need, just bring your meals and personal effects.We will definitely be returning some day!!!

Wonderful Stay

The cabin is just wonderful. It has everything needed and the view of the lake and the surrounding area is just beautiful. The screened in porch area is great as we were able to enjoy the views, sounds of nature and our morning coffee completely bug free. Communication with the owners could not be better. It is a great place to stay while exploring the North shore!

North Shore family trip

Perfect location to enjoy the North Shore. The cabin was filled with many comforts of home: plenty of kitchen appliances, cooking necessities, and comfortable beds. Our favorite part of the cabin was the large deck and comfortable screened porch with amazing views of Lake Superior. We enjoyed starting and ending our days there!

This cabin is a perfect place to get away and enjoy all the north shore has to offer. The location is fantastic and the view is stunning. Fantastic, relaxing get away.

This cabin ia perfect as a step away from the busyness of life and the Twin Cities metro area. We explored every day with a perfect "homey" feel to refresh and relax after exploring the North Shore each day of our stay. The owners were right on top of things after a crazy rain storm on our last night. I recommend this property and we will definitely return again.

Wonderful stay

This log cabin is a beautiful place to stay, with amazing views of Lake Superior. It was just my husband and me, but our boys would have loved it when they were young. It was very quiet and peacefull. The sunrise was stunning and the full moon lit up the lake. The hosts were super friendly and helpful. Thanks for a perfect stay!

What a beautiful place!

Shawn and Ed’s beautiful cabin was the perfect place to rest after a long outdoors adventure. The cabin’s structure is fascinating and I wish we knew the story behind the construction of it! The view is amazing and they provided every creature comfort you need. It’s a 5-star, that’s for sure!

Visit for Grandmas Marathon weekend

We had such an amazing long weekend at the cabin. It was in such a beautiful part of the country that we had not visited before. This cabin has all of the necessary amenities. We like to cook and there were plenty of utensils and cooking supplies. The beds were super comfortable. We enjoyed the games, puzzles and definitely the fireplace. We would love to return someday!!

Our Third Trip

We love this cabin on the North Shore and come back every chance we get. It’s quiet, beautiful, comfortable, and a great location. The bed is very cozy (I love a nice bed). The bath is luxury. And the view is unbeatable. Highly recommend to anyone. Can’t wait for next fall!

Fantastic rustic log cabin with all the ammenities you could ask for! The communication w/ the owner was fantastic as was the entire stay that We had while there!! It was hard to leave such a beautiful place with the amazing views of Gitchee Gummee right out the front windows! Thanks for letting Us stay at your beautiful piece of heaven!!

Amazing property!

What an amazing place. This was our first time in Minnesota and we tried to take in as much of the north shores as we could. The property was a nice central location along the lake. It was clean, had everything we needed, and the views were awesome. We loved sitting on the screened in porch with our coffee each morning. Defiantly recommend it!

You can't do better

This cabin is honestly a masterpiece. Every inch is pure art. You can't go wrong staying here. Everything from the screened in porch to copper bath tub make your stay a magical experience. The view is better than any hike vista. We adore this cabin and will be back again and again.

Cozy Cabin Comfort

My husband and I camped for 4 nights in Superior National Forest before checking in at this beautiful cabin. We had been hiking a lot and were very excited for showers and a comfortable bed. This cabin exceeded our expectations! We were so in love with the cabin, we decided to skip any sight-seeing, and just enjoyed lounging and cooking with the beautiful views offered at the cabin. It was a fantastic ending to our fall getaway!

Peaceful and Beautiful

The cabin and property are amazing! The cabin itself is immaculate and beautiful with numerous well thought out touches (ex. the screened in porch is perfect for enjoying a nice cup of coffee while taking in the incredible views of Lake Superior). The cabin is somehow spacious and intimate at the same time making it a perfect place for a family getaway. The location provides quick access to the waterfalls of Tettegouche State Park and Black Beach and a quick drive to Gooseberry State Park. Shawn was incredibly easy to work with and made check in and out a breeze. I highly recommend this property!
