  • Our home has everything you need for a fantastic getaway-winter or summer. Large Lakefront Yard with a huge dock that accommodate a boat.. Guests love Our newly remodeled and well equipped kitchen. We have a gas grill, Ice Maker, Fireplace, Outdoor Chiminea, A Picnic Table, Roku TV ,High Speed Internet, DVD's and a relaxing hammock made for two. On clear nights, enjoy the stars and the increasingly rare opportunity to enjoy seeing the Milky Way. Our porch has rocking chairs, an old fashioned sitting swing for two and picnic table, in addition to a table and chairs down by the lake.


    The host and her mother lives on the property, the property is like a duplex.

Our family stayed for five days. We had a wonderful time! The ambiance of the entire property was just stunning. Lots of lovely seating areas in and outside of the house. We spent equal time enjoying the lake as well as the house. I really loved the way the house and yard were nicely lit at night.

Great Experience

Kara was very easy to work with. She is right there to answer any questions or respond to our needs. The lake is beautiful; the property is well maintained, and the location worked well for our needs.

Great place. The attention to detail and the apparent tender loving care set his place apart. Make sure you have a camara ready for in the morning when the deer visit. The back yard light show was my favorite part of the house stay.

Many things to be wary about with this property:1. The host lives on site. The house is a duplex, and you can hear the host family through the door and shared wall. 2. There was very little privacy. The host was constantly monitoring us—on both sides of the house. We felt watched…it was weird! 3. The host sent messages every day: micromanaging us regarding the air-conditioning and leaving doors open for airflow.4. The photos do not represent the house well. It is far more cluttered, and there were creepy paintings and masks on the wall. My teenage kids were scared.5. The two bedrooms are VERY small. They have double (or smaller?) beds, and there is very little room to walk around the beds. 6. Despite the updated kitchen, the rest of the house is quite old and pretty tired. The wallpaper is stained, etc. 7. There are many of the homeowner’s personal items in the house. So there was no closet space to store empty suitcases and no place to put clothes away while staying for the week. So we lived out of our bags on the floor.8. We left early. We enjoyed the lake view, and playing on the water, but none of us wanted to be in the house anymore—so we didn’t stay the last several nights of our reservation. We are not a complaining family, and usually leave rave reviews of places we stay, but we couldn’t this time. And we didn’t want others to not know what they were getting into when renting this property. Hope this review is helpful to you!

Beautiful home with a spectacular view!

My family stayed over Thanksgiving break. There was a window of fantastic weather with clear skies. We would start the day with coffee on the porch, watching the ducks play in the lake. Then we daytripped to Portland to hike. We drove up towards the mountains for breathtaking views of Mt Ranier and Mt St Helens. Then we would come back and cuddle up by the fireplace. Kara's home feels just like that - home. We would love to go back there next winter, or even during the summer to enjoy the lake. We highly recommend this place!

Wonderful stay at the lake!

We enjoyed 6 beautiful days on the lake and loved every minute of it. The property, location, and yes, the lake itself, all exceeded our expectations. I'll admit I was a little worried beforehand reading how shallow the lake is and feared it might be nothing more than a warm, algae-filled soup. Not at all. The water was cool and the lake was great for boating, kayaking and swimming (we didn't try fishing). The area has lots to offer. We took day trips to Mt. St Helens, river rafting (on the White Salmon), and kayaking (on Scappoose Bay). And we spent a half day cruising the lake on a rented pontoon boat from Streeter's resort (walking distance from the house). Kara was readily available, but we had no problems - other than wishing we could stay longer.
