About this property

Entire place

Upper Pine-insula cabin, bring your pet, come enjoy the lake, and relax!

Come enjoy our quiet retreat on Sporley Lake between Gwinn and Marquette!
This home is setup for multiple families, and can accommodate up to 15 adults currently with 9 beds. Please reach out for additional sleeping needs or interest/plans of bringing your dog along. We're pet friendly!

Bring your toys, we have a large driveway to drop your toy trailer and get straight to the trails or on the water from the cabin. Snowplowed, well maintained 1 lane road into the home. Easy access to turnaround and come into the driveway.
*within an hour from Pictured Rocks, Black Rocks, and Little Presque Isle.
*5min from Trail 8 for ORV & snowmobile trails
*20min to skiing cross country & hiking
*5mi from Sawyer International airport (MQT)
*25min away from Marquette Mountain & NtN trails
*10min to local golf course

Enjoy the evening with the whip-poor-will and loon sounds by the firepit. Paddleboats, kayaks, lake float, lifejackets, and fishing poles are available to use. The large wrap around porch is a perfect way to enjoy the tranquility of this quiet lake.

It's an all sports lake, but never busy! It's clean, clear, and spring fed so there's amazing fishing, kayaking, and swimming options too (meaning no lake weed!). The ~80ac lake is 42 feet deep and perfect for ice fishing, but a shallow beach area in the backyard is a perfect hangout for kids in the summer.

Wifi and streaming tv, board games, movies, and vintage Nintendo games on mini NES will entertain you and the kids during 'stay home' days. Fully stocked kitchen, with updated microwave, airpopper, and a crockpot! Wifi provided but signal can be spotty at times.
Reach out for any tips, questions, or recommendations!

Family Retreat
This is a great house for a family retreat; very quiet and secluded location. The house and property are very clean and well maintained. It has so many extra amenities not listed. The kitchen is fully stocked. There are games for all ages, including foosball and air hockey. The lake is calm and we fished everyday. This is a great family retreat!

Skandia Lakehouse
This was an absolutely wonderful place to spend a summer family vacation. The lake house was comfortable and spacious. It's in a beautiful, peaceful setting with easy access to a variety of outdoor activities. We kayaked and fished on the lake, biked and hiked nearby, dined in Marquette and took a day trip to Pictured Rocks. A very memorable trip.

Amazing Lake House
We had a wonderful time fishing, kayaking, swimming, yard games and sitting around the fire. This home offered every amenity that we needed or wanted. We had 15 people stay there with us and it was absolutely perfect. We will definitely be back.
