"Rooms were very nice. The staff were incredibly polite and helpful. The pool was great and we had it to ourselves for parts of the day. The sink in our room was leaking which got fixed instantly once i reported it. Breakfast was nice but nothing special with pastries, veg, eggs, sausage, a bit more variety would be better. Air conditioning was great because the summer days got too hot. Overall i would definitely recommend this hotel."

"Mercure Hotel is a clean, well-maintained property. It's located near a major intersection on the western outskirts of Tirana. There are two things I liked about the hotel. First, it is clean and new for the price range. Not fancy, but I did not experience any inconvenience during my stay. Second, the breakfast buffet was really good, much better than most four-star hotels in Western Europe. In addition to eggs and sausages, they had vegetable dishes, mushrooms, various kinds of cheese (not just European cheese but also more Middle Eastern cheese), five or six different kind of jams, different kinds of yogurt, fresh fruit, bread, and more. There is also an absolutely pleasant female worker there. She greets every guest and asks how we are doing in a super cheerful manner but not in an annoying way. She was a delight to see every morning. The hotel should give her a big raise! The most serious drawback I had was the location of the hotel. Because it's outside the main area of the city, there are so few restaurants to go out for dinner. I ended up eating dinner at the hotel, which was very disappointing unlike the excellent breakfast. I think they microwave everything in the kitchen, which is really problematic for dinner that pretends to be a bit fancy. So if you stay here, make sure to eat in town before coming back to the hotel."
