"Had a wonderful reunion with my college friends in this home - it was the perfect place for our gathering. Some notable day trips include Washington DC and the Green Bank Radio Telescope Observatory, plus lots of hiking and river activities all around! A quick glance at the welcome book and it looks like a number of people complained about the bugs - what were they doing in a cabin in the woods if they didn't want to see some harmless bugs? Had a lovely time, bugs, friendship, and all :)"

"What a nice, history rich house to stay in. You can tell it has old bones but has been maintained and is full of character. Loved the relaxing setting with the river running around the house. Plenty to explore on the property down by the water and in the woods. Exactly what’s needed for a relaxing get away. Close to town as well for anything needed. Kirsten was a great host. "

Cons: would have loved curtains/ blinds on windows especially bedrooms; having more towels for hot tub would be nice; couch smelled like urine. Overall OK stay for a night."

"Rode my bike 77 miles in the heat to this place including 1.5 miles up a very steep hill. I was sweaty and tired. How nice to meet Xander who not only patiently checked me in but offered me a water... the elevator was fast, the room spotless, and laundry efficient. It was nice they had a limited beer selection. I was disappointed the fridge was off, but my wife suggested using the ice bucket to keep the beer cold and it worked. My biggest disappointment was no food within walking distance and Uber seemingly unavailable... I did walk to town and back for food, but should have just had something delivered. Nice soft bed, shower head valve was messed up (water sprayed out while I was filling a tub to soak in), but worked out with extra towels. Breakfast was great and hit the spot. Would stay again!"

Only advise this time of year check the Stores and Restaurants in town for days they are open. Most are closed certain days. Suggest eating in the Country Inn Restaurant."

"The inn was right off the highway and easy to find. You’ll want to park in the back of the property and the steps to enter are within feet of parking. The owner sent me a text with the door codes and explained how to find my key. I was in room 14 that had a double bed. It was for one night and I travel 100% for work so I’m always in hotels this stop was pleasant and relaxing. Room was clean and bathroom was as well. After I long work day and hours of driving I took a shower, ate, and crawled into bed. "
