"Dezzie and Mary could not have been more welcoming and accommodating especially as we arrived later than anticipated. The house is really excellent for large families ( we are six with four almost adult children) as well as socialising with extended family. The view from the house is wonderful over the bay towards Ben Bulbin and there are amazing walks to beaches and headlands within range of the house. Everyone was so welcoming we even enjoyed a community St Stephens day Swim in the sea. We highly recommend this house for a taste of true west of Ireland warmth and spectacular views over the wild Atlantic Coastline."

I regularly stay in four star hotels throughout Ireland and this hotel stands out in terms of quality, service and attention to detail. Excellent food, quiet room with very comfortable bedding. Dinner and breakfast were superb, service and the quality of the food. Staff were friendly, attentive and had a genuine care for what they did. "

"We had a delightful stay at the Beach House. This is the cleanest holiday home that we have ever stayed in. Absolutely spotless. The house has everything you need for a wonderful stay. The location is amazing. Just a short walk at the back of the property leads to an absolutely stunning clean beautiful beach known as the golden strand. It is like having your own private beach. I have never seen such a picturesque beach. Our 3 young children loved it and were in the sea for most of the holiday. The local area offers such beauty that you always get in the West of Ireland. We had a wonderful boat trip where we enjoyed sea fishing and saw some dolphins. We also had a trip in a tractor which the kids really enjoyed. We had a great day at the funfair at Bundoran. Mary and Des are some of the kindest people we have ever met. They are so welcoming and made our stay amazing. The kindness shown by them will never be forgotten and they even bought our daughter a surprise birthday cake. It made her so happy and a memory she will never forget. We would love to come back and stay at the beach house in a heartbeat and will definitely be back for another holiday. We highly recommend this wonderful holiday home in a beautiful part of Ireland. The nicest holiday that my family and I have ever had."

"The uniqueness of Down Yonder is apparent right from first sight. The building is gently set into the landscape with breath taking views of Ben Bulben and views down to the sea. It's just a few minutes stroll away from Rosses Point restaurants and bars. The impressive entrance hall leads to an elegant drawing room where you may enjoy a coffee on arrival served up by the wonderful Eavan. The welcome was so warm and friendly. The guest rooms are spacious and full of light. The beds are so comfortable, you may have trouble leaving them! Ensuite bathrooms are a good size, the showers are wonderful, almost spa like! Breakfast was made to perfection each morning by Guido and served in a delightful sunroom. The guest house is close to so many Sligo and Donegal attractions and sights and your hosts will give you directions if you need some guidance. I would absolutely recommend Down Yonder to anyone without hesitation. "

"Wehad a lovely long weekend. Hotel is clean modern with great bathroom facilities and a very pleasant outdoor terrace for meals and drinks. The barman was particularly efficient and cheery. We used the restaurant and the meal snd service could not be faulted. The only slight negative was it was very warm in the room at night. "

"We rented this for a night only for a get together. We all wished we had booked for longer. The house is fantastic,it is so comfortable and spacious and so well kitted out. Mary,Des and family were all very welcoming and so helpful. The location is fantastic,perfect for a spot of sea swimming. Highly recommend this property."
