Beautiful grounds and building!! Very clean and comfortable bedding. We were greeted upon arrival and fed a wonderful breakfast even tho we forgot to confirm. Definitely recommend staying here.

Best place to stay in Sligo.
I was dubious at first with the quality of the reviews being so good, however I can confirm that they are genuine. An extra effort for breakfast was made for my dietary requirements and the grounds and place is better than a hotel. You will not be disappointed. The penthouse suite I took is 250 sq metre. It’s bigger than some houses, great value.

Go Sligo
I arrived late late in the evening around 730 and was greeted by Jerry. It was almost like coming to a friends house to stay if your friends house was a mansion. We asked for recommendations for any restaurants in the town for dinner. Unfortunately we got there too late and most of them are closed. We will be coming back. There is some fabulous places to eat in this town and speaking of eating. I stayed in 11 hotels on this trip to Ireland and this location had the best breakfast, absolutely delicious. Jerry was an excellent host and he made us feel at home.

Lovely welcome & tour. Truly lovely property, light & open with very large beautifully appointed room. Unfortunately, noise from very late partying guests echos thru building. Lacking amenities expected in 4 star - bath soap, robes, etc

Stunningly beautiful modern castle on gorgeous grounds! Very private yet only a few miles to town. The owners are welcoming and helpful, very friendly. Breakfast keeps you going for the day! Just excellent! Highly recommend!

Is this the best B&B in the world?
Castledale is the most beautiful B&B property or hotel we have ever stayed in, including places that have cost 10x as much. Gorgeous gardens, magnificent house, fitted out with everything you might need. My only regret was only staying one night. Would stay there for a week and be happy next time.

This is a beautiful, quiet oasis just outside Sligo. The house and grounds are beautifully appointed and welcoming. We fell in love with this B&B and will return if and when the opportunity presents. The owners were both gracious and attentive. We highly recommend Castledale if you are heading to Sligo!

Hidden Gem! I cant explain in detail how much you get fir such a low price. Owner is an absolute pleasure to be greeted by til the sec you say goodbye. Missing this place would be like missing the views of Kylemoore Abbey.

This is an absolute must stay if you are in the are of Sligo! The owners of Castledale have turned their home into a magnificent accommodation for guests. Don’t worry…the owners live behind the property now after their kids moved out. You are literally staying in a castle, or a mansion for those of us from the United States. The bedrooms are all locked rooms. As a guest, you get a “castle key” to your room, a key to the front door, and a remote for the private driveway gate. The common areas of the home serve as a breakfast area, entertainment area, and relaxation area. There is a piano, a pool table, a massive room to watch movies, and much more. The grounds of the property are immaculate. The owners and hosts greet you upon your arrival and give you a great tour. Each room has its own bath and equipped with a hair dryer, soap/body wash/shampoo and conditioner. It feels a little strange at first because you are staying in someone’s house which they use to live in, but this is a mansion/castle and it was fabulous. My only concern was that if you happen to book at the same time as a rowdy individual or two, they could literally play the piano or watch movies downstairs all night and the sound would carry. One of the coolest places we have ever stayed at.

The house and grounds were absolutely beautiful. We were immediately greeted upon our arrival and shown around. Room was immaculate. Very short drive to Sligo for dining and shopping. Highly recommend!

Beautiful home located close enough to town for easy access to restaurant and shops. The host stayed open 1 extra day for us since we had booked our reservation so far in advanced and gave us free reign over the entire location. The views from the room are stunning and the cinema room was wonderful!

Huge place.
Huge house. Felt very like a modern manor house. Room was comfortable, lots of electrical outlets. No safe. Free wifi and parking. Breakfast was excellent. The grounds were beautiful, too. My only caveat was that there were motion controlled gates and we didn’t know if we were in the right place initially. Plus when you left the gates, they opened towards you so I had to back up to get out. Great place.

Castledale was an incredibly beautiful renovation of a private house. It was spacious, elegant, tranquil, and the hosts were friendly and helpful. We loved just walking round the grounds, playing pool, playing their lovely old grand piano, and relaxing in the peaceful atmosphere. I highly recommend it!

Well worth an overnight.
We had a very pleasant overnight b&b at Castledale. Only when we arrived did it strike us that this is not a hotel. It certainly has the proportions and look of a hotel but it is a grand home.

Although our stay was short (1-night only) our experience was fantastic. Jerry and his wife were lovely people, who made us feel welcome, provided superior service and personal insights on "must-see" places. Beyond expectations
This is a lovely, grand home. Spacious rooms. Guests have access to a home theater, piano and pool table. Hosts Gerry and Kaarjal work very hard at making guests comfortable. Breakfast was made to order, fresh and delicious. Resident dog, Leo the labrador is a big sweet boy. We didn't want to leave. Highly recommend.
