Staycation Roadtrip
We headed here on our first stop on our staycation. Arrived 15-20 mins before checkin time of 3pm and already a number of people waiting. Told 3 pm and filled out a form, no problem at all. Then watched as others did the same. A couple arrived at 3 pm and filled out the form at the desk moving ahead of everyone who had filled it out already, this included people with disabilities and the elderly. Get checked in and head to the room and then head out to Sligo, short work and good location. Head back to room and then find our room as no Wifi connection, not an issue for us but can be for others. Raised on check out and the receptionist almost had to act as if this had never been raised before. The bar staff were very nice and helpful when get our drinks to head back to our room.

Very old hotel and not much comfort over there as no lift up to first floor. Also price for food in a bar expensive, quality of the food so so. Moreover, I would not recommend anyone to stay there for one simple reason. Can't trust stuff. I stayed with my family for two nights and accidentally left my shirt with an expensive Parker pen. After realising that I left it made a call and ask to confirm if my goods are OK and pen still there. Receptionist Amy has told me that my pen still there and shirt also. After being given to her my address I asked her to ship it over to me. When I got in two days my belonging I understand that pen wasn't there and it was taken.

Sligo Southern
The hotel does not appear to have enough staff, so you are left waiting around a lot at reception (while person on phone taking credit card details of someone who wishes to book in). First two rooms I was given were very dirty and one obverlooked bins and bottles! At dinner time and breakfast, just appear to have skeleton staff on duty. The food in the bar was delicious,steak cooked to perfection.
