He stopped down the street to notify us that we have to park here - a distance away from the location. We walked into the location and were turned ..."

"This is an absolute must stay if you are in the are of Sligo!
The owners of Castledale have turned their home into a magnificent accommodation for guests. Don’t worry…the owners live behind the property now after their kids moved out.
You are literally staying in a castle, or a mansion for those of us from the United States. The bedrooms are all locked rooms. As a guest, you get a “castle key” to your room, a key to the front door, and a remote for the private driveway gate.
The common areas of the home serve as a breakfast area, entertainment area, and relaxation area. There is a piano, a pool table, a massive room to watch movies, and much more. The grounds of the property are immaculate.
The owners and hosts greet you upon your arrival and give you a great tour. Each room has its own bath and equipped with a hair dryer, soap/body wash/shampoo and conditioner.
It feels a little strange at first because you are staying in someone’s house which they use to live in, but this is a mansion/castle and it was fabulous.
My only concern was that if you happen to book at the same time as a rowdy individual or two, they could literally play the piano or watch movies downstairs all night and the sound would carry.
One of the coolest places we have ever stayed at. "
"A strikingly modern edifice in the middle of a small and thriving Irish city, The Glasshouse would appear to be a businessperson’s hotel but it serves the needs of any visitor quite well. The car park underground is small and easily navigated. The rooms are ample sized and have all the amenities one might need. Our included breakfast featured made-to-order eggs in a well-staffed venue. Having a riverside room with balcony was a delight. Highly recommendable. "

"Owners were perfect blend of yin and yang. Mary is a sociable, engaging and caring hostess, whilst Peter exudes an unflappable but equally compassionate calm. Both professional without resorting to a robotic script. Their wonderful manner (and the robust breakfast) got me through a difficult weekend and enabled me to have the end of life discussion my mum needed. I would heartily recommend for those who can share a bathroom without hysterics, and who understand that tasteful, established furnishings are more in keeping with the sustainable planet we all claim to love than this year’s bling. I will be back."
