"The house is beautiful and has a wonderful, open floor plan. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Diesel, the neighborhood dog, who is very friendly and loves attention. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, and we enjoyed relaxing in the rocking chairs on the back porch and using the gas grill during our stay.The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed for cooking, although the knives and skillets are showing some wear and could use updating. While the bedrooms themselves are nice, the sheets are also worn and have noticeable pilling, which made sleeping uncomfortable. The listing mentions bringing your own toiletries, but it would have been helpful to have hand soap provided in the kitchen and bathrooms.Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would recommend this home. We especially enjoyed the train ride in Bryson City and dinner at the Jarrett House in Dillsboro."

"Excellent cabin with plenty of things you can do even though there is no wifi. Cell phone reception is ok but drops out occasionally. Definitely recommend four or all wheel drive as the 3 mile trip from Whittier you gain over 1300 feet in elevation. Most of the drive is paved but the last quarter or so is gravel and after the last switchback it gets pretty steep and because of the switchback it's not possible to gain momentum. Location in about half way between Cherokee and Bryson city. Be aware of your never been in this area that your food options dry up significantly after 8pm so prepare for that. We didn't use the hot tub but if was clean and ready to go when we got there. Kitchen was all equipped with pots, pans, dishes and cookware so you can easily fix meals for yourself. Very secluded but also not a long drive to most things, a hard to find combination. Will definitely be visiting this cabin again someday."

"This house was beautiful. The house was very clean when we arrived. It had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The only thing it was missing was a cork screw for wine, lol, and maybe a few more coffee cups. The host was easy and quick to communicate with us. There was no hot tub in the house. The only one was at the pool, which was kept nicely and clean. My children and grandchildren had a wonderful time. The movie room was a bonus! We can’t wait to return!Our stay was so delightful!"
