"Stayed in the one bdrm with kitchen. Plenty of space for two people to spread out and everything was very clean. Rooms don't get much sunlight but one of the two balconies gets morning sun. They have done some beautiful landscaping of the grounds and it makes the experience of staying there much more pleasant."

"We were hesitant at first after we read all the bad reviews but we were happy once we got there. We were on the 6th floor with the beautiful view of the lake. The building is dated and needs a lot of work to make it up to date. The beds are okay with clean sheets. The bathroom with the shower is just the right size and with white clean towels. The staff are nice. The building is in the middle of Tahoe City walking distance to all the restaurants and shops and most especially to the lake. We got there early since we need to be at the church wedding by 2pm. We were directed to go to Basecamp (their sister company) so we can change and get ready for the wedding since Pepper Tree Inn staff won’t be there till 3pm. We were very happy with our stay at Pepper Tree Inn."
