"I really liked the Retreat. My room was really a large apartment. Spacious with full length windows on two sides overlooking the sea, gardens and swimming pool. Nice restaurant area with idiosyncratic Korean inspired food. At fist I thought the room was a little rustic but that was due to customs built furniture pointed dark brown. In fact the facilities were bang up to date - separate toilet, basin and shower areas modern TV and good broadband. The beach was not really suitable for sandcastles and baying but scenic. "

"The room is excellent. However, there are some unwanted mosquitoes hovering inside the villa. Otherwise, excellent staff and service. The food is also great. "

"The place needs a big cash injection. Redeeming factors are the location and the staff on the ground. The photos are from 2008 so does not reflect its current state. I ate great food whilst there and slept really well, however I experienced outages of electricity and water so I feel the price does not reflect the facilities. It’s a shame really as Clarisa and her team are really passionate about the place but without financial support are powerless. Great experience but price not reflective "

"Was open plan with a spectacular view, rooms were spacious. The breakfast provide by the team were amazing provided with a fruit platter. Communication was superb, were able to organise transport to and from general luna and cloud 9. From airport 500 peso per person per trip "
