"Loved the hotel ambiance which is why I booked the hotel. Some staff were very helpful. Some including manager was very disrespectful. Asked for help and was told I had to wait until They were not busy. Others had priority. I paid my money same as others so that was an insult. Also instead of help some pointed me to kiosk. While that may be helpful in some cases I prefer personal help. That's their job too."
"The good: the breakfast was great, lots of different options.
Room was quiet
Location was good, especially if arriving/departing by train
The bad: I arrived in the evening after a full day of travel and wanted to shower and go to bed. Unfortunately, no towels had been left when the room was cleaned. Also, there is no phone in the room so I had to go back down to reception to ask for towels.
Single rooms are VERY small.
The location is good as previously mentioned, but they need to add some info on their website about how to exit the station. There are a lot of exits and they just have street names on them. I wasn't sure which one to use and when I exited the station I then had to walk over cobblestones, down stairs and down several streets with luggage. When I eventually saw the hotel, I found there was an exit about 100 meters from the hotel. This info would be really useful upfront.
The shower has 2 'half' doors, but one is blocked by the sink so you only have a small opening to get in and out of the shower."
"My stay at the Comfort Hotel Xpress was fantastic, the room I stayed in was perfect for a solo traveller in Oslo for a few days.
There was a good selection of sandwiches and rolls at the front desk, with the team being really wonderful advising me on the best place to get a quick bit of work done on my bicycle.
When using the facilities the water got to temperature really quickly and stayed at that temperature.
Overall I'm really pleased and glad I stayed at this hotel.
Now the negative...
I did report this and I have know it'll be fixed. The shower door didn't entirely close so water would come out of the shower when I was using it, but I did report this and I am certain it has already been fixed
If I return to Oslo again I will definitely stay here again, it was absolutely fantastic and I got a great unbroken night's sleep every single night I was there."
"Oslo is expensive. The hotel was expensive compared to what is available in other expensive cities in EU. The location is fantastic, getting anywhere in the city is convenient as the trams stop right in front of the hotel. The staff was friendly. It's not too small but a very basic room. No frills. No coffee. No fridge. No safety box. Not a lot of storage space. Looked a bit dated than the website pictures. No AC which was a huge problem as it was very hot. But later learned from an influencer that the windows can be (propped) opened wide."
