"This facility is lovely, if a little pricey. It is ideal for a relaxing getaway or special occasion. The view of the lake is great and provides an ideal backdrop. The dome is spacious and has everything you need. A little more countertop and food prep area would have improved the experience. There is a nice bbq on the deck but unfortunately no table so you have to eat inside, which I found sad as it would have been nice to watch the boats on the lake whilst eating dinner. "Staying at the Fourth Lock was very convenient for us, as we needed a place close to the airport where we could do a late check-in. We weren't looking for anything fancy, but this was great! Parking was easy and so was finding the place. The only slightly complaint I had was that by the looks of the parking lot, there weren't many other people staying in the inn that night, but the room directly above us had people in it.. this made for a disruptive sleep as we woke up every time they woke up to use the bathroom! Overall, comfy bed and a good price so I would probably stay again if I need a convenient stay in the Halifax airport area."

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay in Waverly. The home was beautiful, peaceful, and the perfect home base for exploring all that Nova Scotia has to offer. Chris was a fantastic host — warm, welcoming, extremely responsive, and very easy to communicate with. We’d absolutely recommend this stay and would happily come back!"

"The place was super cute and had all amenities as-advertised, although the Wi-Fi was virtually non-existent inside the unit. I was able to get a strong signal just outside in the driveway FWIW.We stayed there late June-early July knowing there was no AC, but a fan was provided and the room cooled off well at night. Unfortunately we couldn't do anything about the humidity which left the floors feeling sticky and the bathroom smelling a little damp. The exhaust fan and rugs on the floors helped.Only real complaint was that the place didn't appear to have been thoroughly cleaned before we got there. There were dirty towels in the hamper, the shower was a bit dirty and the dryer lint trap was overflowing. Other than that, the place was clean and welcoming.The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe, even at night. The Halifax transit system is easily accessible as there is a bus stop just a couple of short blocks away. All-in-all, I would stay there again, though maybe not in the middle of Summer. I would have taken the bed home with me, it was so comfortable! Our host was kind and easy to communicate with and the price was right. Next time I would rent a car though - it's an hour one-way to downtown Halifax by bus."
