About this property

4 acres in wine country with pond, windmill, vineyards, pool, putting green

  • A beautiful 4 acre property located only an hour away from San Francisco and about an hour and 15 minutes away from the bay area. This home is newly remodeled in 2020. We also just landscaped the pool area in November 2025 (with a 3000 sq feet putting green). The kitchen and three bathrooms were completely remodeled in February 2020. This wonderful wine country home is only a short drive (2 miles) from downtown Sonoma (and Sonoma Square) located in the coveted east side of town. Its also a short drive or a bike ride away from many wineries. Napa downtown is about 10-15 minutes away and it is about a 5 minute drive from Domaine Carneros (sparkling wine vinery). Other wineries within a 2-5 minute drive include Scribe, Gunlach Bundschu, Nicholson Ranch, Jacuzzi, Cline, Larson and Gloria Ferrer. We started renting in June 2015, and have had the pleasure of having dozens of groups a year who have loved the estate.. A fully-equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook a wine country meal for you and your family. This home is a perfect week long or weekend getaway. It is very comfortable for up to 6 adults and 4 kids OR 8 adults (we allow up to 10 adults).

    The pond is unfortunately non-functional at this time. We are looking to fix it in the coming months.

    Features of the home -

    Indoor living space:

    Walking into the front door you'll immediately notice the openness of the floor
    plan, with a formal dining room and kitchen that opens up to the large living room that flows into the pool area. The home boasts gorgeous views from every room. From the main living spaces, enjoy views of the 2-acre pinot noir vineyards. From the guest bedrooms, kitchen and dining area, enjoy amazing views of the vineyards rolling over the hills across the street. The Master bathroom includes a walk-in shower and soak tub. Large flat-screen TV in the living room with cable service. There's also WiFi (Wireless Internet). A spacious living room with a fireplace. An open kitchen floor plan that opens into a very large family room hosting two seating spaces - one facing a fireplace and the other facing the TV. Choose your relaxation spot and enjoy with a glass of wine!


    Outdoor living space:

    The outdoor pool is equipped with a 8-seater dining table and plenty of lounge chairs and outdoor seating. Cool off in the pool following by a relaxing dip in the 6 person jacuzzi. The pool can be heated for an additional charge. There is a 3000 sq feet putting green around the pool area as well as 1500 sq feet gazebo where the hot tub is. At night, enjoy the sounds of country living sitting outdoors by the outdoor gas fire pit! You might spot a few bats flying overhead and enjoy the clear night sky and stars! Our kids enjoy watching red tail hawks, vultures, black birds, jack rabbits and the occasional deer. The property is home to beautiful trees. When you relax by the pool you will notice how beautiful and calming these trees can be. You will notice a Red Tail Hawk nest high up in the trees amongst other nests.

    One of the best feature of the property is the Windmill and Pond located in the back of the property. This serene pond and windmill are a great feature for kids to explore. You can enjoy a picnic by the pond, while the kids spot frogs and fish. You may even spot deer or ducks or that occasionally stop by for a drink. You may try your hand at fishing but no swimming is allowed.

    There is a fully equipped outdoor kitchen and a BBQ in the pool area, perfect for a pool party.

Great Weekend Getaway

Our friends had a lovely stay in Sonoma. We enjoyed the spacious kitchen and many areas in the house to hang out together. The pool was big and there were many seating options outside both in the sun and shade. We all enjoyed walking through the vineyard and around the pond. Would recommend this place!

The property is beautiful, even in the rain. We have a great time with our friends. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, everything you would need. Even though we when during the winter the pool was clean, and we did cold plunges.

Perfect house for a wine tasting getaway

Great for adults and families alike, this house is tucked away with its own private entrance. Plenty of parking and beds for sleeping, large open gathering spaces and outdoor fun. Came here for an adult weekend and may come back with the kiddos. Large pool with automatic pool cover, jacuzzi under covered patio. Beautiful grounds with a small vineyard and great views. Highly recommend this beautiful home.

Great house!

We had a great stay here. The owners were super kind and friendly. The property inside was very clean, well stocked, and overall excellent and the outside had great amenities. We did have to clean the outside up a bit from spiders and spider webs at first because it seemed like nobody had been there for a while, but after that it was great. The location was so nice. It felt like you were in the country but with all the amenities very close. Highly recommend this house.

Girl’s weekend, perfectly hosted!

We are a group of ladies who have been friends for life … celebrating our 50th year! This house was the perfect size, spacious and well stocked. Super comfortable bedrooms and a kitchen that has everything you need. The weather was not nice enough to use the pool but we certainly enjoyed the hot tub and hope to return in the future during the summer. Sanjay was easy to get in touch with when we had questions. Such a great stay!!

Good times with good friends

The property was fantastic! The house was nice and open with plenty of room for a girl’s weekend away. The hot tub and outdoor areas were also nice for sitting around and chatting. The location was perfect with plenty of wineries and great restaurants (and a grocery store) all within minutes. The pond looked to have been drained, but the property was still perfect for an outdoor run and exploring. The only complaint is that the cushions on the outdoor furniture could use a good cleaning, but we simply chose other seats…so not a major thing at all.

Our family of seven adults spent the Christmas holiday at this countryside property. Everyone agreed that the house was very comfortable, especially the beds. We got rainy weather so did not make use of the outside amenities but there are three separate areas to socialize. The kitchen is large and very well stocked with cooking utensils and dishes. The kitchen drawers are labeled, which was great. The property is pet friendly, which is great for families with pets but inevitably there will be the odd pet hair on the sofas (in case of allergies).The Sonoma Safeway delivers groceries to the house via food delivery services, and we were able to add the property gate code to the grocery order. Following house instructions carefully, we did not have any trouble at all going in/out of the gate. If you are walking out (vs driving) there is a gate remote in the kitchen. Our host was extremely accommodating to ensure a comfortable stay and very responsive when we had questions, despite being on vacation themselves. Full house instructions were provided before checking in, which was very helpful. Thank you Sanjay and Gayathri for a wonderful stay!

Good Family Get Together

Sanjay, our host, is an excellent communicator. This is essential to a good VRBO experience. The kitchen is very well stocked with dishes, pots, utensils, and glasses. The dining table seats 10 so enjoyed family dinners. Linens and towels were good. There is a lot of outdoor space and the property at 4 acres provides a nice stroll through the vineyard. Five stars. Wedding weekend in sonoma

The property is gorgeous! The single story open floor plan has 4 spacious bedrooms and 3 beautiful bathrooms (two with walk-in showers). The view from the living room of the pool and then vineyards and mountains is spectacular! The jacuzzi was clean with room for at least 6 people. The instructions on how to use the amenities was printed and accessible on the dining room table. The host even offered and came over and walked us through his vineyard and wine-making process. Would definitely use it again! Overalla 5 star plus experience!

Host - Very responsive and made check-in smooth. Property - Interior of the house was clean but outside needed a lot of TLC. Outdoor furniture were dusty, pool had a tadpole, hot tub had dirt, landscaping was non-existent. Outdoor areas were uncomfortable and almost unusable.

Perfect choice for weekend in wine country

The home was very comfortable for two families with adult children plenty of space and separate areas for different activities. The one "kids" room was sort of dorm style but they made it work. The outside areas were great for hanging out. Yes, the cushions were a little dirty but nothing a good shake could not fix. There is a new BBQ and it works perfectly as did all the other amenities. The property looks good considering watering was not permitted in the area until recently.

Millpond vineyard

We've been doing our "escape the SF fog" summer trips like this for many years. This stay was very enjoyable. The house and property was just what we needed (family of four and our kids' godparents). Plenty of room to spread out, but we mostly stayed by the pool. We did stargaze one night and that was awesome. Sanjay was a great host and prompt communicator. All questions were answered promptly and clearly. I must say, the kitchen was impressive! Everything we needed and well labeled. Probably the best kitchen we've had on our trips. We were only able to stay for 3 days due to scheduling, but next time we'll plan better and stay longer.

Overall Good Experience

The interior of the house is great and as described but is located on a busy street with some traffic noise. Some of the check-in/check-out instructions were confusing. For example, we were asked to put towels in the washer which is in the garage but were then told that we should not have accessed the garage. There were problems operating the pool cover and the garage door (which again, we shouldn't have accessed, but didn't know that). The driveway is circular so gives the impression you should go in one side and out the other but instead, you go in and out on the same side. The backyard could use some TLC. All in all, we had a nice time but recommend some minor adjustments to improve the guest experience.

Overall it was okay. The inside of the house was good and clean and since it was for my bachelorette weekend, it was decorated. Since there was no reservation prior to our stay, the host was able to allow our decorator come in early and set up which we appreciate! Check in was smooth. However the only gripe I really have was the backyard. I was really looking forward to having a pool day with my girls but the back yard was a mess. Unkept, dust and cobwebs everywhere, the pond was dried up. It looked like no one had been back there in weeks. I did specifically request the host a head of time to ensure the backyard was cleaned up and ready but the didn’t respond. We were also not aware of the pool heating fee, which we didn’t use, but it would’ve been nice to know that was an option beforehand so we could’ve at least told the host to turn it in 24 hrs before. They were responsive during our stay but leading up to our trip, I kept having to follow up multiple times. It was a nice house and plenty of hang out space, however the backyard was not up to par.

Good News - Bad News

Good News first: It is an old house that has gone through a major renovation and upgrade to all the interior rooms - new bathrooms, new kitchen new wall finishes. All well done to a high level. The swimming pool is huge and well maintained. The Bad News: The image of the pond and windmill is a very old photo as the pond is abandoned overgrown mess as is the adjacent garden area that once was probably very nice. The exterior furniture is a combination of some new and some very old and very dirty. The two BBQ's were in operable and very dirty - unusable. The hot tub itself was OK but the cover was dirty slimy mess. Property manager brought a new BBQ the next day. Very weak property management team with more work needed to keep the facility in step with the competition for a place costing this much when you add in all the costs. With just a little more investment in the landscaping and the maintenance this could be the place we come back to for all our family holidays but not in the current condition.

Thanksgiving Family Weekend

Wonderful home. Sanjay was pleasant, responsive and a good host. The home is large and comfortably slept eight. There is one bunkbed, which didn't matter to the college age kids :-) . In addition we hosted family on Thanksgiving dinner. The kitchen is large, recently updated and well appointed with everything we needed. It met our needs perfectly - we arranged with Sanjay in advance to have more people on the property for Thanksgiving. Outdoors: Except for walks, we didn't use the outdoors. It's large and it was nice for walks out to the end of the vineyards. There is Bocce ball in the back area, multiple places to hang out, including a new deck with jacuzzi off the master bedroom. This is a large property close to town, but still in farm country. Next door neighbor has chickens, goats, etc. Pond gets filled by winter rain...so it wasn't full. I expected that from reading reviews and it didn't matter to us given the time of year. Pool and pool area: We never planned to use the pool given the time of year. Sanjay mentioned he plans to remove the grass around the pool in the future to update it. Wonderful property, large nicely updated home, nice hosts and easy access to wine country.
