"Stunning hotel and even better hospitality. The owner and the team were extremely attentive and kind. They also offer a great breakfast service every morning. It’s right in the center of the Medina so it’s easy to walk around the neighborhood and explore. I highly recommend this hotel."
"As an international traveler, I stayed at this hotel for just one night, paying around $140 and honestly, it was not worth it at all. The hotel feels very old, and the furniture is worn out and outdated. For this price, I could have easily booked a much better and more comfortable hotel.
The services I paid for did not meet my expectations, and overall the experience was disappointing. I also believe the rating on Expedia is significantly overrated and should be reconsidered.
On top of that, the staff were not welcoming, which made the stay even less pleasant. I was also not allowed to enter the property by taxi through the main gate, which was very inconvenient especially with heavy luggage and a long walking distance. What made this even more frustrating is that I later saw other guests being allowed to enter by taxi.
As a global traveler, I would not recommend this hotel even if the room price were under $50 per night."
"Lee personnel personnel était comme d'habitude très aimable et serviable. J'aurais toutefois apprécié que le service dans la salle à manger soit un peu moins "cantine", que le personnel se donne un peu plus de temps. Le petit déjeuner était très copieux et de bonne qualité, mais le diner- buffet manquait de plats soignés, trop de plats qui se ressemblaient. Optez plutôt pour un service à table (comme vous le faisiez avant)."
"I spent just 4 days here but as the weather was bad and my room had no windows I moved to an Airbnb in Sousse down by the beach run by Amel the price was the same but the view from my balcony straight out to sea was the very best and the host is kindness itself if you are nice to her she will teach you to cook Tunisian food and show you around Sousse, breakfast on the balcony watching the world go by is a very fond memory even now and she will recommend places to go. Being there made my holiday very special and I highly recommend you go there. https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/1497794711907728040?check_in=2026-06-14&check_out=2026-06-21&guests=1&adults=2&s=67&unique_share_id=c760f484-1247-4c31-8f23-a774abb5f735"
"The property is quite dated, we were originally given the wrong rooms, which were located in a side building which isnt the one we booked, this was rectified on the next day. These rooms were old and cramped. The rooms also advertise sea view but that wasn't provided. The breakfast is good with loads of options and the spa facilities are also good. Massages are at an extra price. The entertainment in the main hotel is between 9-11 pm, its very loud if you're staying in this part of the hotel, sleeping before 11 is difficult. Overall it was a good stay for a few nights but if we would stay in Sousse longer and in high season, we would pick something nicer."
"Always a great cheap place to stay.
If you want entertainment and good included then le Monaco isn’t your place, however if you want a cheap stay in a great location, walking distance to everything then it’s perfect.
We stay here a lot so know that the outdoor pool isn’t open in winter but worth mentioning for others visiting first time.
Only downfall this time was that the indoor pool wasn’t open this time during our stay "
