"Good hotel "

"Nothing fancy but plenty clean and comfortable. Rooms have fridge, microwave, television, coffee maker (although they coffee is mediocre at best.) Again, it was clean and the bed was plenty comfortable. I had a good night's sleep which I needed after a 7.5 hour drive. If you're used to upscale and being pampered then this isn't the place for you. I was pleasantly surprised given that my first interaction (and this is my only complaint) with the desk clerk was underwhelming. He could have said hello and acknowledged my presence as I approached, or something. I'm not talking being crazy cheerful but anything? (Looking at you Australian guy, or is it New Zealand?)"

"Check in was efficient though not the most friendly. Our room was nicely updated and clean except for a few hairs in the shower. The carpet looked new and clean. Bed was firm. The breakfast had a lot of variety to choose from - pancakes made fresh, cereals, yogurt, 2 different egg selections, bagels, pre-packaged pastries, fruit, etc. We stopped for an overnight on a road trip and it was perfect for that type of stay. Convenient to the interstate, shopping, gas, restaurants. Would stay here again."

"If you've ever seen the movie Vacancy or know of Hotel Bates this might be the hotel for you. Our room reeked of the smell of Pot, the lights were barely able to light up a 2 ft space in the room. The parking lot has no lights whatsoever, and looked like it has never been paved the potholes could soak your car in. When we went to check in the was locked so we couldnt even get to the front desk. When we did finally get in and told him we had a reservation he rudely says "I know". We knew then this wasn't going to be a good experience. Upon checking in he asked us 3 seperate times as rudely as possible if we had pets, and every time we told him no. He acted like i had a monkey or snake stuck up my sleeve or something. When we went back to get a refund, they wanted us to switch rooms. They demand cash that is not refundable cash to get a room key, if you don't have it they'll keep your ID. Don't forget to ask for your ID or they won't give it back to you I was firm on a refund. They did refund us finally after a 10 minute conversation in which they speak so little English they finally understood why we were asking for a refund. We kept telling him it smelled like pot and smoke he still didn't understand us. While I have no issues with people who speak English as a 2nd language this was beyond not understanding what was going on. If you stay here and don't come out alive, I warned you."

"This is a very beautiful hotel. I make it a point to compare every hotel I stay at, and this one stands out. Allowing two dogs free of charge is a great bonus. The area is beautiful, and the lighting throughout the hotel is excellent—especially helpful for people with low vision. The hotel is ADA accessible, and the staff all have great attitudes and provide excellent service. The lobby is truly five-star, and the room is fabulous. I would give this hotel 5 stars. The only thing I noticed was a couch with some scratches that may need attention."
