Very very comfortable!
The hostess, Wendy, was extremely accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed, and she was easy to communicate with. A blizzard and extreme cold came during our stay for Christmas, and she made sure the walks and driveway were plowed each morning so we could get out to be with our family. She even had a whole house generator installed right before our arrival in case there was a power outage! Wendy went above and beyond to make sure we were safe and happy. Even our two little poodles loved it there. We would not hesitate to book her property again and that’s because she is a great hostess! Thank you for making sure we had one of the best family Christmas vacations ever Wendy! Happy New Year!

Fall Cozy Charm
We loved this property. The owner had added fall decorations that were just the right touch. Everything was comfortable and saying good morning to the horse and ponies each day was perfect!

A step back in time.
We loved it. Quiet, relaxing and a lot of memories of our childhoods at Grandma’s farmhouse. Very convenient to Jr Irish Fields for lacrosse or soccer!

Lovely Farmhouse Atmosphere
We took a step back in time when we walked into The Farmhouse. Our dogs loved being part of a little farm with the miniature horses and cats. We told our family in Michigan and Indiana that they need to stay at the Farmhouse. It's relaxing and the deck is amazing. It's secluded, yet close enough to South Bend to enjoy the town.

The property was very relaxing. Lots of reading under the huge trees and the green grass.And, the horses were great companions. Wendy Was a great host! We would definitely return.

Rest and relaxation
I love antiques and old fashioned stuff and I have always dreamed of living in a farmhouse. I absolutely love the house and the decor is Great! Our stay there was absolutely awesome!! It was truly a get away to remember!

Wonderful!

Peaceful escape from the city
Wendy's Farmhouse was the perfect place for me and my husband to escape the city for a week. After a challenging year, it was wonderful to completely unplug, enjoy the trees and green grass with our dogs, and meet some very sweet ponies and horses. It was exactly as advertised and felt like a warm hug from family members I did not know I had. We look forward to visiting again.

Very pleasant farm just as advertised
This was a neat and tidy farmhouse just as advertised. Everything worked well and the house was neat and clean. The horses and ponies were present as were three cats. It is very convenient to South Bend as well as southern Michigan. In our opinion, it is best for small groups (4 or less) because there is one bathroom. We would definitely stay again.

We were visiting our relatives on Eagle lake so spent much time with them but Wendy was great about
Everything was great! The heat outside was uncomfortable but the air conditioning in the house was a wonderful rest after the lake time. We cooked for the lake crew Friday night and found everything we needed. The Farmhouses is well supplied; our biggest problem was keeping our stuff separate from the decorations and stuff of the house!! Just kidding; we loved the farm details and the horses were a hit! Hope to return!

My girlfriend and I loved staying at the farmhouse. It was quiet, cute and and in a lovely location. All the animals were nice. The Carriage House restaurant next door was beautiful and delicious. 10/10 would recommend.

Relaxing vacation
It was great! Quiet, restful, and beautiful. The home was an old farm house, full of charm and memories. The small horses, cats wondering around, barns and pastures all added to the beauty of the stay. Flowers bloomed, fresh mowed grass and giant old trees graced the yard. We will return!

Great weekend getaway!
The farmhouse was an excellent last minute booking decision for me and a couple of my friends. It was absolutely gorgeous in the snow. Wendy was very communicative and even stopped by (socially distanced) to make sure everything was going alright. I'd highly recommend this listing!

Our home away from home .
We have loved our stay here . We were in between homes . Closed on our house and couldn't move into new one for ten days , hense our home away from home . Our two dogs loved the stay also . The owner Wendy is very nice . We hope to come back again!

even better than expected
My family visited for a weekend and Wendy could not have been better or more accommodating. The Farmhouse is even better than advertsied! We loved the animals, especially the horses, and interacting with them was so much fun. Notre Dame's campus is very close if that is part of your plans. Cannot say enough about Wendy and how great she was before, during and after our stay. Cannot wait to go back again!

Clean and charming
Had a lovely stay. Very charming old farm house. Had everything that we needed for a great vacation. While we didn’t use them, I can certainly see how convenient it was to have the “extras” like the outdoor grill, a cooler, children’s toys and games, books for reading, a few seasonings on hand, and plenty of kitchen utensils to make a full meal.

So good to get away!
The farmhouse setting is on the edge of suburban South Bend but is right by cornfields and has plenty of outdoor space. The farm house is really nice. There's a great deck, huge yard and some really friendly barn cats as well as horses, both regular and adorable miniatures. Wendy was very pleasant and helpful. It was a real plus to have a crib and high chair on site.

So Beautiful and Relaxing
Such a beautiful place. The property and house was very relaxing and well maintained. Great communication with Wendy. We enjoyed being close to Weko park and walking our dog on the beach. We visited a couple wineries. And on our 35th wedding anniversary, we just enjoyed the deck and home. I loved the barn cats and the horses were pretty neat too. We hope to visit again.

A Nice Escape

Fabulous getaway

Beautiful, Unique, Picturesque Animal-lover Dream
This place is amazing, and so is Wendy, the owner! The Farmhouse is spacious and has everything you can possibly need. The property is beautiful and its so great to be able to look out and see horses in the backyard! Our dogs were brats during our stay and Wendy was so understanding. We also felt very safe, as its a nice neighborhood.

Great relaxing and entertaining location
This property is ideal. The house was clean, well equipped with a great front porch and back deck with table and chairs.. Good restaurants nearby and shopping within 10 minutes. Within one hour of many venues. A truly enjoyable stay.

Five sisters weekend
This is a beautiful cozy home. Very clean, beds are comfortable. Five sisters enjoyed a great weekend here. It was a delight to meet Wendy. She shared her knowledge of the area. We went to great restaurants and did some antique shopping. Highly recommend this home.

Comfortable stay!
We stayed at the Farm House while visiting family for the weekend. Our stay was very comfortable and enjoyable. It is very peaceful there. The house is well equipped with linens, dishes etc. Our grandchildren really enjoyed the horses and the toys at the house. Thank you Wendy, our stay in South Bend was much nicer than it would have been at a hotel.

Perfect in every way! The Farmhouse was so welcoming. We were in town for a race at Red Bud MX
Wendy and all the animals were a joy to meet! The house was full of anything we could have possibly needed. Wendy was always available for advice and recommendations. We were in town for a race at Red Bud Motocross but had the opportunity to visit the the Warren Dunes on Lake Michigan.

Great accommodations for groups or family!
We stayed at the Farmhouse for a ladies getaway. The Farmhouse was perfect for our stay. The house was centrally located for the activities we were doing in South Bend/Mishawaka but still felt like you were out in the country. The sleeping arrangements are great for large groups, bedrooms are on all levels so if people went to bed early they wouldn't be disturbed. The kitchen had all of the amenities we needed (plates, serving dishes, all utensils, and most importantly a huge coffee maker!) and even had a water cooler. We enjoyed seeing the farmhouse residents (ponies and a very friendly kitty) the next morning. I would HIGHLY recommend the Farmhouse for anyone looking for all the luxuries of home while traveling to South Bend. Wendy is a wonderful host making sure you are set before you arrive and making herself accessible if you need anything during your stay. Thank you for a great experience!

Quaint property in a peaceful location.
The farmhouse is a wonderful place to stay. It is equipped with everthing you need. Even bowls for the dog :) Wendy contacted me in less than a hour after booking, and continued to make sure our stay was carefree, and comfortable. It was a pleasure to meet her, her horses and the barn cats. I would highly recommend a stay here. I will book this property again when in town visiting family. Thank you Wendy!
