The cabin was very nice and clean and our kids loved all of the games in the lower level! The owner was also great at communicating with us. Would definitely stay again!
This cabin was gorgeous! 3 levels to offer privacy, plenty of rooms, cookware, icemaker, fire pits, hot tub…anything you could want. Does sit on top of a ridge, but that just adds to the beauty. Host super quick to reply and let us check in early. Plan to be back!
Great place to stay and excellent location - very short drives to the must see hiking trails.Very happy with the cabin and completely secluded. Will be back!
Had a nice little family get together/retreat here. We had a lot of fun in this property! Everything was clean and available, the amenities are nice and well kept, and the owner was communicative and helpful!Would stay here again!
The house is beautiful! Plenty of seating and sleeping areas. Pool table, hot tub and dart board were a huge hit! Property was fun to hike and we had tons of privacy. Loved our stay!
I loved how out of the way it was, yet not a far drive to everything we did. You could hear nothing but nature. Hot tube was great and the house was well stocked.
Fern Ridge Cabin was a remarkable stay! It was 10 gents who stayed here with plenty of community space, close proximity to Hocking Hill State Park, and phenomenal amenities.
Robert was a wonderful host! I would highly recommend a visit here!
Really private, top of a mountain type of feel place. We enjoyed all the acreage and feeling of being all alone yet only ten minutes to several hocking hills hikes! Also we ate at Alibi’s in Adelphi, great cheap bar type food, a hit with our teens! The deck and outdoor tv and fire pit were also very enjoyable!
Nice cabin tucked away near Laurelville. Nice trails to stroll on the property. Everything matched the listing. Very clean. Ty was a great host to work with.
My husband and I stayed at Fern Ridge cabin along with our friends and their baby for a weekend and had a wonderful stay. Cabin was very clean, kitchen was well supplied with dishes/glassware/utensils/various cooking supplies, beds were very comfortable, and so many great amenities. We enjoyed the trail on property, the hot tub, and the fire pit as well. Great location, only 15-20 mins from most of the main trail heads in Hocking Hills. Would not hesitate to stay here again. We wished we had another day or two to enjoy more time in this cabin!
There were 9 of us on a girls' weekend trip, coming from all over Ohio. I booked because I am local. Our host was wonderful from start to finish- he was very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. The property is magnificent, lush and so well decorated. The cabin itself has incredible views- inside and out. We are thrilled to plan out return visit for next year, and highly recommend this fabulous establishment.
We will definitely be coming back! This was in a great spot, close enough to both old man’s cave/ash cave and Laurelville when we wanted pizza and ice cream. We had a great time with two families - 4 adults and 6 kids. We didn’t even get to enjoy the firepit and hot tub because it was too hot outside; but the deck and outdoor TV were very nice! The driveway is very steep so we were happy to have a truck but the minivan in our group had no issues.
We had a wonderful time here. The location was great to get out and hit up all 6 hikes on our list in 2 days. It was the perfect place to soak after our hikes with the kids. They have tons of spaces to hang, more than we had time to use! It's on 60 acres so it's really nice and private. The views were great. We had everything we needed to feel comfortable and relaxed. Check in and check out we're a breeze. And our hosts were amazingly proactive and attentive and very helpful in ensuring we had everything we needed, including tons of instructions for things, and local places to go. Although we didn't test out the Time Machine shower, the kids enjoyed looking at it. Definitely a great place to spend outside of the city!
Absolutely gorgeous! (But nice fancy shower is broken)
Exactly as pictured. The view is incredible! You have an entire hilltop to yourself! Easy self check in. The cabin was super clean and the decor is tasteful. Cabin stocked with stuff to keep you busy and entertained.
Few things you should know-
Road to the cabin is steep.
The nice fancy shower is broken.
Check out is early at 10am.
Five of us enjoyed this cabin for 2 nights for a bachelor party. We anticipated spending less time at the cabin and more time on trails, but with everything this cabin and property has to offer, we hardly left. We made good use of the fire pit, pool table, big deck with the outdoor tv and grill, hot tub, and backyard for cornhole. We also spent some time walking the trails on the property. We loved everything about this cabin.. from all of the amenities to the cleanliness, the adventurous driveway (4 wheel drive comes in handy though not needed) to being secluded in the woods.. the lights around the cabin and all the other small details put into this property by the owners make this a stand out experience. I definitely recommend staying at Fern Ridge Cabin and I hope to stay again!
Two families stayed and we enjoyed the home. About 10 minutes to the small town where we could grab groceries or grab a bite to eat at a local restaurant. We really enjoyed the hot tub since it was cooler while we were there. The kids also really enjoyed the array of games in the home. The driveway is not for the faint of heart, especially If you have a fear of heights🙃 My husband’s truck had no issues getting up it. Would not want to visit in the winter months with snow. Overall, house was perfect and we had everything we needed.
