We enjoyed our stay. The place was exceptionally clean, new, and very quiet. The kitchen is well equipped. We especially liked the fire pit and BBQ. At night the place is very dark, offering amazing stargazing right from the patio. Would definitely recommend!
Overall the place was very clean, check in was easy as well as checking out. Only thing I wish the place had was air conditioning. They did have fans which was nice but it was still hot and humid inside.

While the house was very newly decorated and very clean most windows cranks were broken and the windows couldn't be opened so fresh air was minimal. We could not lock the screen door on the bedroom sliding door. Many windows had broken seals so were constantly fogged up. The fireplace had a sign to not use it. While the dryer wasn't working (these things happen and she was very apologetic), the recommended alternative -a clothesline - did not exist. The road was very busy at certain times of the day. The kitchen lacked certain items you really might miss. Four settings of cutlery meant either running the dishwasher repeatedly or hand washing them after meals. No pitcher at all, so bagged milk means you have to bring your own picther. Few bowls other than plastic to eat from. If you drink corked wine bring your own corkscrew. It was fine but not ideal. Very clean, which is important to us, so top marks on that. And grateful for the bottled water.

Our short stay at The Huron House was wonderful.
Laura was a great host.
The recently renovated house was clean, comfortable, and the lovely deck was perfect for relaxing.
Highly recommend! ★★★★★
I had a construction job in the area which I did with my two sons so we just need a place to rest in the evening so didn't spend much time there during the day.
The place was so beautifully situated in the midst of wilderness. The house was clean and excellent on amenities. Me and my family were visiting Tobermory and decided to take up this place for overnight. Its so convenient since the Bruce Peninsula is only a 30minute drive from the place. Laura was very polite and the entire stay went smoothly. She is also very accommodating
Laura is a perfect host, available ,honest and organized.we stayed for 4 nights, the house is totally remodled with taste and quality. We had a large patio area in the back of the house, we were in a quiet area as well, 20 minutes from Sauble beach, we went into the Fed Park, long walks in the woods - Grotto cave, boat tours at Tobermory,in the house, double click on the lights switches, as you are going from family atmosphere to cozy and relaxthere is more then 20 km of prestine beaches for those long walks to enjoypeople are very friendly and respectfullenjoyeric & lysa
It was nice. It could use a few more things in the kitchen for cooking, sauce pans, sharper knives. There's no AC and no mention of it. It was quite warm, so we had to go out and buy some fans. Maybe adding ceiling fans to the room would be a plus with a light. Some screens for the doors would be great. Overall, we would stay there again. But, now we know what it doesn't have. So we can be more prepared.

The property was newly renovated.. beautiful kitchen and modern potlights. layout is very appealing...indoors is beautiful except for ..No air conditioning...tower fans available.Bunk bed not suitable when no ac..tower fan air doesnt blow towards top level of bunk bed. In hot months its not comfortable sleeping without ac.The location was not close to the amenities..30-45 drive to go everywhere..sight seeing or food. Good thing we took some basic stuff like.bread butter and some fruits and snacks. Kitchen is beautiful ..with nice cutlery and dishes. Hot tea coffee maker.Middle of woods felt like in the middle of nowhere..lol..unpaved road of 7-8 kms to reach the property. We are from the city living..didnt check the location on map and assumed its going to be a neighbourhood type. It was a last minute decision so didnt do too much research. It was a pricey option with 175 for cleaning fee..paid 900 for 2 nights stay. The host responded quickly..that was impressive. I wish they do small changes to make it more comfortable..like.buy queen size bed, install ac and enough drinking water etc.Thank you
