Everything we needed and more. Comfortable, great location and face in yard. I knew there is a person living in the basement but never saw them or heard anything. Highly recommend!

Cozy home
Stayed with our 9 month old and two dogs and had a wonderful time! The home is very open and my little one had a great time cruising the house. Dogs had a fenced in yard out front which was amazing. Highly recommend!

We found the house comfy and cozy. Plenty of space in and outside. We had our 2 dogs that loved the fenced in yard. Don and his wife were wonderful hosts and we appreciated all they did for us. Enjoyed evenings around the fire pit and would have liked to stay longer!

Perfect Stay
The house was immaculately clean, the beds were so comfortable and everything that you could need was provided. The hosts met us at the house and showed us around and were very friendly and helpful. We came for the Common Ground Fair and the location was good, plus it was close to China Lake which is just beautiful. Even our dogs were well accommodated with an extra bed and dog bowls. We look forward to returning next year

The only negative thing about this property is the need for more gravel/walkway between parking area and front door. It was raining the days we were there and the children brought in a good amount of mud into the house on their trips from the car to the house.

Absolutely wonderful experience
Don and Gail are the very best. Could not have asked for anything more. They had provided everything you would possibly need. Wonderful to work with. I highly recommend them and their home! Thank you for making it a wonderful stay.

Long weekend getaway
Perfect location to set up a base camp being just far enough out of the way for peace. The rental was beautiful and the dogs loved the fenced in yard.

China stay
The home was comfortable and nice. It had pretty much everything we needed. We especially liked that there wasn’t carpet everywhere. The field out back was pleasant, it would be amazing if there was an exit or access through the back of the house to that area, but no biggie. A couple of short falls: 1. A more structured plan for arrival would be helpful, such as a key code entry, or a hidden key as we were coming clear from the west coast by train to NYC and rental car and trying to time a family visit, but not knowing exactly how we would access the home until just a couple of hours prior. The property owner was flexible and told us a couple hours prior that he would leave the door unlocked for us so it worked out fine in the end. 2. Learning just prior to our arrival that a relative was living in the basement was a surprise. Some people may choose not to stay there based on this, but we didn’t have that information. It ended up being fine, we never actually saw the relative who lives in the basement, but you’re still always kind of wondering. In our minds we were thinking that this is the stuff horror movies are made of. 3 The fuse that operates electricity in the bathroom blew and we were easily able to reach the owner. He couldn’t get there until morning, which was fine since it was evening and we didn’t really need it. We could have flipped the breaker on our own, but it was in the basement where we could not access it.

It was a nice quiet location with fenced in yard for kids or dogs. Very comfortable beds and furniture. Ample supplies in kitchen and bathroom. Very nice hosts just a call away if need anything. Was a very nice place to stay!
