Overlook South Haven Harbor steps from South Beach and Downtown

Our home overlooks the Black River steps away from downtown South Haven and a 7 minute stroll along the Riverwalk to South Beach and the South Haven Lighthouse.
The first level of our home is barrier-free accessible and beach cottage decorated with all of the amenities you need for a relaxing beach holiday with the convenience of South Haven’s shops and restaurants literally around the corner.

We offer barrier-free access to:

2 bedrooms, 1 queen and 1 with twin beds, and 1 full bath
Full kitchen with all necessary preparation utensils, dinnerware and outdoor grill
All linens and towels are provided. Just bring your favorite beach towel!
Free WiFi, Cable TV and DVD Player
Large, screened front porch for dining, relaxing and viewing the boats in South Haven’s active harbor
Off-Street parking.
We’re ideally suited for a small family of 4 or 4 adults willing to share.

South Haven becomes a winter wonderland typically beginning over the holiday season. Cross country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating and sledding are some of the nearby activities, particularly during Ice Breaker Fest in February!

In season, generally from Memorial to Labor Day weekends, we prefer weekly rentals, beginning Friday or Saturday, at 15% off of our daily rate for 7 days or more.
Daily rates of (2 day minimum) may be available on request. Please call for availability if the calendar is uncooperative:).
Off season, generally September 15 - May 15, rates are discounted 30-50%.
Check in is after 3:00pm and check out is by 11:00am.
All fees (cleaning, etc.) are included in the weekly rate.
***VRBO may add a booking fee to your reservation.

This is one of our favorite places to stay. The view of the marina, and the manicured lawn and gardens, is quite wonderful. Very peaceful, and relaxing. And yet, you are but a 5 minute walk to downtown. It is a location, and a property, that can't be beat.

Great South Haven Location

The perfect getaway

This is our second stay at crimson sun and we love it! The perfect location to walk into town or to the beach, quiet at night and the best hosts. The home is always clean and comfortable. Check in is super easy and the gardens around the home are perfect for pictures!

Cute apartment!

The perfect size and accommodations for our group of 4. We loved and enjoyed sitting out on the screened in porch over looking the Black River. If you ever stay here, make sure you check out their impressive flower garden. My only request would be to have more comfortable beds.

Perfect for Our Girls’ Trip!

The location was absolutely fantastic and our hosts were so amazing. They brought us fresh cut flowers from their beautiful garden, made sure we were set and then left us alone. Easy keypad check-in, comfortable and clean space, and walking distance to everything we wanted to do in SoHa! We will definitely be back!!

The Best of South Haven

After a wonderful stay last year, my husband and I returned for another lovely weekend in this beautifully appointed home away from home. You'll get a good night's sleep in the comfortable bedrooms and the kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies. It is a special place, conveniently located for walking downtown or to the lake and with great views of the river from the comfort of the screened porch. We looked forward to our stay and hope to make it an annual visit!

Wonderful location

This apartment was perfect for our needs. Close to town and in a very quaint neighborhood. We had everything we needed . We also had access to beach chairs umbrellas coolers and anything we needed for beach days! Only slight complaint was the mattress on the queen bed but not a deal breaker. Had a wonderful time here drinking our coffee on the porch overlooking the harbor

Wonderful week!

We loved our week in South Haven! The house was exactly as pictured and described. It was a perfect location for walking to the beach and to downtown. John, Sally and Dan were so kind and helpful throughout the entire week. Our children loved exploring their beautiful garden. We will definitely be back!

Excellent location

We had an amazing two night stay here while I was in town for a HDPE event at Gingerman Raceway. The drive was less than 12 minutes to Gingerman and within walking distance of everything downtown South Haven including the beach. Terrific location, clean, and well maintained. Lovely garden as well. I also drive a lowered car and it was able to clear the driveway entry, just barely!

The apartment was fabulous. Great size, clean, bathroom huge. The grounds are just gorgeous. Beautiful flowers and fresh flowers in the apartment. Walking distance to the main street with shops and restaurants.

Great Host and Location!

My wife and I stayed in early August 2023 for one week. The unit was very clean and even better than described. The host family lives onsite and checked with us several times to make sure that everything was okay. This is in a great location that is close to the downtown and the beach. We really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to book this unit again!
