The Space:
JJJ’s Ranch Farm 2 by Tiny Away is located in South Kolan just 22 minutes from Bundaberg. This farm stay is surrounded by goats, mango trees, and a peaceful dam, it’s a great spot for families or small groups. Two holiday homes sit side by side, perfect for enjoying a fire pit and watching friendly animals wander by.
Nearby attractions include the Bundaberg Rum Factory, Mon Repos Turtle Centre, Botanic Gardens, Alexandra Park Zoo, and Burnett Heads beach.
A cozy 139 square foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet, hand basin, and gas-heated shower.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you're booking for a group, we also have a second tiny home, "JJJ's Ranch Farm 1," available with 24 hours' notice, ensuring you have even more cozy holiday homes to enjoy.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the tiny home and its immediate surroundings, including the backyard, play area, swimming pool with water slide, and an undercover area with table tennis, air hockey, small picnic tables, and a washing machine.
Please note that the spa and the undercover area attached to the main house are not available for guest use. The pool and backyard are closed daily from 6:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

JJJ’s Ranch Farm 2 by Tiny Away, located in the rural heart of South Kolan, is a 22-minute drive from Bundaberg. It sits in a region known for its rich volcanic soil and thriving agricultural community. This farm stay is set in a laid-back rural area where farm animals outnumber people and locals wave from their utes.
Visit two classic country pubs, try your luck catching barra in nearby streams, or take a short drive into Bundaberg to explore the Rum Factory, Botanic Gardens, or the free-entry Alexandra Park Zoo. For a coastal escape without the crowds, Mon Repos Turtle Centre and Burnett Heads are just a short trip away.
Getting Around:
By Car:
- Approx. 4.5 hours from Brisbane
- 20 minutes from both Bundaberg and Gin Gin
- 45 minutes from Childers
By Public Transport:
- There is no direct public transport to the farm.
- Taxis and Uber are available from Bundaberg or Gin Gin with advance booking
- Bundaberg has both an airport and a train station for regional connections
By Flight:
- Fly into Bundaberg Airport from Brisbane (multiple daily flights)
- From the airport, it’s about a 20-minute drive to the farm—car rental, taxi, or Uber required
Other Things to Note:
- Wifi is available only at the main house
- Smoking is allowed in designated areas only
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- Campgrounds are located near the tiny house
- Close all gates behind you to keep animals safe and secure
- Pool and backyard are closed daily from 6:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Children must be supervised at all times, especially near water
- Gas BBQ grill is available upon request, on a first-come, first-serve basis
- Pizza oven is available and shared between both tiny house at the property
- Mobile reception has weak signals for Telstra and Optus; No signals for the rest
- We would like to advise guests that later check-outs will incur an additional charge
- Buckets for food scraps are available on request. They’re perfect for feeding the pigs and other animals.
- Recycle all cans and bottles in the large round tub in front of the green shed or in the black crates at the yard entrance
Pets Policy
- Pets may be roaming freely—drive slowly at all times
- Please clean up after your pet’s shedding before checking out
- Pets are not allowed on beds and sofas, and clean after your pet's droppings
- Pets must remain on a leash at all times when outside the Tiny House or designated enclosed areas
- We recommend that you bring your pet's bed, bowl, and basic needs with you during your stay
- Please take note to inform us 24 hrs before arrival, if you plan to bring your pets to our property
Important note:
- BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present in the surrounding areas
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding
