2 Story Island Vacation House built in 1997. 3 bedroom/2 bath. Sleeps up to 10 people. Nicely decorated.
Upstairs 1st bedroom has a queen bed. 2nd bedroom has a queen & twin beds. Bathroom adjoins the 2 bedrooms & entry from the great room. Living room has a sofa sleeper, best suitable for a child/teen.
Downstairs has a large bedroom with 2 full beds & a futon. Futon best of children. 2nd bathroom is in bedroom. Downstairs living area has a day bed, best suitable for a child/teen.
Fenced-in backyard and secure windsurf/kite board equipment racks on back patio. Garage has can be used by renters for equipment safekeeping.
Quiet location 300 yards down the street from the bayside water where there are benches for sunset viewing.
1-3 blocks of 3 of SPI’s premier windsurf/kite board shops which offer lessons and rent excellent equipment.
2 blocks from Gulf beach.
Walking distance to convenience store and great restaurants!
Less than 1 mile from SPI Birding & Nature Center.
1 mile to the famous Clayton’s Beach Bar, 5 blocks from Wanna Wanna Beach Bar.
Owners live in house next door for great service and island advice.

Arlene was great and made checking in and out super easy. The house was spotless, really clean. The back yard was great to have for my dog. The landscaping was lush and well maintained. Arlene is friendly and gave us lots of information about the area. When I come to South Padre Island in the future I will check to see if this house is available.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this spacious home! The pictures do not do it justice. Nice home with lots of room. It was clean and a great place to relax when we were ready for downtime. We will definitely book here again next year. Arlene was so very nice and shared great suggestions on local restaurants. Check in and out was so easy!

Centrally located, not far from everything. The house gave me good vibes. Well kept and very clean. As soon as I walked in I felt relaxed and comfortable. The back yard was beautiful. Lots of natives birds would visit early morning. Just a beauty sounds of Mother Nature.

The owner was amazing. She was so friendly & helpful with all the things to do & great food places around. Although it's not right on beach, it's a nice walkfrom the house to the sand. I loved that our dogs were welcomed & hand a backyard to run around in.

15th Birthday Trip

Our trip was enjoyed by everyone. The home was comfortable and Arlene was gracious. We really enjoyed the breakfast at Yummies Bistro. We had a wonderful birthday celebration at Kohnami Japanese Restaurant. The chef Alex was wonderful to us and the birthday girl. I would recommend Arlene’s house to anyone.

A group of friends and I have stayed here each October for three years in a row now. Great location, lots of room, the house is always clean, and the hosts are friendly and easy to work with. Add in the very fair prices and it’s everything you could ask for in a short term rental.

Great stay for a fun sweet 16

My daughter and friends absolutely loved their time at the house. They had the whole bottom level to themselves while the adults and the dogs were able to have the space upstairs. There was definitely plenty of room for a group of 10. It was an easy walk to the beach and the bayside was only a few steps away. I would definitely recommend this house.

This house is amazing! Arlene was very helpful should you have any questions or concerns. Amazing back yard space for the dogs as well as sleeping arrangements for the furry friends. The house is located very conveniently and we were a walk away from anything we needed. Could not recommend enough and will definitely be booking again for our next SPI trip!

Viento Vista Christmas 2024

We loved the house. The owner met us for the initial walk thru. Had two sets of keys- perfect for the guys to go fishing and the girls to junk shop. Christmas time was perfect. Temperatures was in the 70's each day. I recommend anyone who needs the space to check this one out. We ate in every meal but the last night we ordered pizza to save the clean up. Plan to go back as soon as we can work it out.

Wonderful home, great location

The property was wonderful for our family vacation. Grandparents stayed in the downstairs apartment and were able to escape from the craziness of the family, lol. Yard was absolutely beautiful and our dogs thoroughly enjoyed it. Everything we needed to prepare meals was in the kitchen. Plenty of dishes, pots and pans, etc. Brand new charcoal grill, they even provided charcoal and lighter fluid. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of towels, beach toys and a little beach wagon. Owners are next door and available for any questions.

Dated Property

I want to preface this by saying Arleen and her husband are very nice and attentive people. Apparently there is a limitation of 1500 characters! The owner lives next door and insist on giving you a tour of the house to show you what light switch does what. I'd prefer to be contactless and relax after the drive. The couches are very old and worn out... feels like you are sitting on springs. Arleen showed us blankets to put over the couches since we had our dogs during the tour. The kitchen utensils are worn out and cheap. Broken wooden handles on the knives, etc. Glasses that were removed from the cabinets were sticky. We hand washed everything before using it after that. We rented the place for the backyard. It was almost a foot tall and the shrubbery was overgrown. We, and our pups, were swarmed by mosquitos in the backyard. Arleen had it cut the following afternoon after we requested it, and had her husband bring over a fogger which helped. With the money that we spent to have that option, it should have been done prior to our arrival. The TV was very small and the dish network didn't work when we got there. The mattresses were also very worn and uncomfortable. We ended up leaving after two nights despite paying for three nights.
