This place is amazing. I've stayed in a lot of rentals and was really impressed. The owner even leaves out coffee, creamer, sweetener and to-go cups if needed. It was very clean and bright. Of course the scenery is beautiful. This is a great place for a couples getaway. I highly recommend.

If I could give it 6 stars I would! Very nice one bedroom apartment located in a quiet and safe residential neighborhood. Close to the center of town for shopping. Charles is an outstanding host. We used to stay in the local hotels when visiting family in Southbury but no more, from now on Charles will have us as repeat guests. Highly recommend.

A terrific find

This is an exceptional property in a beautiful setting. The space is truly comfortable, private, and has full amenities as described--in fact, even nicer than described. Great Stay

My wife and I recently stayed at Charles' place for 5 weeks, waiting to move into our new house. Charles is a gracious and accommodating host and his place suited our needs perfectly. It is very clean and very private with its own outside entry. There is even a deck with a table and chairs to enjoy your morning coffee. We would not hesitate to stay here again. After a three-hour drive on a chilly afternoon, this warm, cozy apartment above a two-car garage was a welcome place to land. I appreciated the dedicated parking space so I didn't have to leave my car on the street. The rooms were well-lit (a plus during these shorter days). Everything was clean, and I was able to find what I needed in the kitchen. The neighborhood was quiet, with lots of trees. Had the weather been warmer, I would have sat outside at the table on the landing to enjoy the scenery. I'd been a little concerned about noise from the garage, but I heard hardly anything when the car was taken out early the next morning. Owner was very responsive to my messages. Just my own opinion ... I would recommend this apartment for one or two people. While there is a fold-out couch, unless you're all very friendly, I think it would be a squeeze for three or four. I would absolutely stay here again.

Excellent stay! A cozy one bedroom, one bathroom apartment complete with a kitchen (which included an oven, toaster oven, stove and microwave) and a really cute living room. Felt very "at home" and relaxed. Bed is phenomenally comfortable!! Especially if you enjoy a medium-to-firm mattress. Skylights in the bathroom and bedroom were lovely. Lots of small touches as well, like snacks, cookies, bottled water, extra towels and whole bottles of shampoo and body wash. Literal home away from home. With the beautiful fall leaves surrounding me, it really felt wonderful.
