This place is amazing. I've stayed in a lot of rentals and was really impressed. The owner even leaves out coffee, creamer, sweetener and to-go cups if needed. It was very clean and bright. Of course the scenery is beautiful. This is a great place for a couples getaway. I highly recommend.

Although our stay was cut short due to a snowstorm, the accommodations with Charles were great. We usually take a hotel room when down in Southbury visiting family. A clean, comfortable apartment close to shopping in a lovely, walkable neighborhood. Well equipped, responsive host, and beautiful yard. The phone charging cords were a real plus as we’d misplaced ours.

If I could give it 6 stars I would! Very nice one bedroom apartment located in a quiet and safe residential neighborhood. Close to the center of town for shopping. Charles is an outstanding host. We used to stay in the local hotels when visiting family in Southbury but no more, from now on Charles will have us as repeat guests. Highly recommend.

A terrific find

This is an exceptional property in a beautiful setting. The space is truly comfortable, private, and has full amenities as described--in fact, even nicer than described. Charles responds quickly to messages and is a very solicitous host. I hope to be able to stay here many times in the future for my semi-regular trips to the area. Thank you, Charles.

Great Stay

My wife and I recently stayed at Charles' place for 5 weeks, waiting to move into our new house. Charles is a gracious and accommodating host and his place suited our needs perfectly. It is very clean and very private with its own outside entry. There is even a deck with a table and chairs to enjoy your morning coffee. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you, Charles, for helping our transition go smoothly.

After a three-hour drive on a chilly afternoon, this warm, cozy apartment above a two-car garage was a welcome place to land. I appreciated the dedicated parking space so I didn't have to leave my car on the street. The rooms were well-lit (a plus during these shorter days). Everything was clean, and I was able to find what I needed in the kitchen. The neighborhood was quiet, with lots of trees. Had the weather been warmer, I would have sat outside at the table on the landing to enjoy the scenery. I'd been a little concerned about noise from the garage, but I heard hardly anything when the car was taken out early the next morning. Owner was very responsive to my messages. Just my own opinion ... I would recommend this apartment for one or two people. While there is a fold-out couch, unless you're all very friendly, I think it would be a squeeze for three or four. I would absolutely stay here again.

Wonderful stay at this VRBO. Plenty big enough for me and my adult daughter. Sofa bed was good quality and no complaints about sleeping on this matress. Neighborhood is quiet, safe and convenient to everything in Southbury and beyond. If we ever come back to CT, we would absolutely stay here again. 5* accommodations. Host is also very flexible and beyond helpful and very responsive. A for his efforts too!
