"Stayed at the property to celebrate 35 year anniversary and birthday.
It was nice having a room with a hot tub on the deck.
Overall, the stay was good. However, it was concerning that on both days we stayed there we were awoken by a fire alarm early in the morning.
Having a background in emergency management I am the type of person that reviews evacuation routes and reads the manual in the room upon arrival. (I know I am a geek).
Its understood that things happen and alarms get tripped every now and again. What is concerning is that this place is full of water, electricity and it was raining practically our whole visit.
There was no explantion for the alarms, no apologies or communication of any type. Which made it that much more perplexing. When I inquired at the front desk the first morning it happened I was told that they had heard about it but were not working when it occurred so didn't know what what the cause was.
Please consider improving communication to your guest when emergency situations (real or accidental) occur to help assuage confusion.
