Very peaceful in a beautiful setting and the house with the updates is well decorated and furnished. Beds were comfortable. Beach chairs provided as well. Very well accommodated. We enjoyed our stay!

Our first time at this house. Previously I had stayed at Linnys Southwick cottage. Both excellent places! Super clean and comfortable. Deluxe bed linens and modern amenities. We enjoyed walking to the lake and having a nice fire in the outdoor fireplace. We even played with the games in the game room.
Low carb treats!
The fire was so nice and kept mosquitoes away.

Cozy cottage on the lake

Wonderful Lake House Getaway

Great vacation home

We had a wonderful few days at the house, it was just as described. The kitchen had all we needed. The lake is a quick walk down the hill. The frozen lake and snow was an added plus for us Floridians. Our two boys really enjoyed using the sleds and playing in the snows. We definitely recommend this home and if we ever make it back to Connecticut we would definitely book again!

I lucked out in booking Libby’s Lake Retreat! It faced a tobacco farm and backed up to Lake Congamond. Talk about peaceful! It’s nestled in the middle of lake house community - very nice neighbors we spoke to on our evening walks and days fishing off the dock. Cottage was a perfect size with enough space with my tween son and didn’t seem crowded when my husband and other son joined our second week we stayed. The washer/dryer was put to use and big gamechanger for us! Kitchen was well stocked - only thing I didn’t find was a crockpot - but that didn’t make or break our meals. Linny was extremely responsive to any questions I had. Wi-Fi was great. The town of Suffield is a quick drive down the road - easily accessible to grocery stores, restaurants, and parks. Hope we can book for next year.

Cool breeze lake home

Had a great stay in this comfortable and well appointed home near the lake. The short trail walk to the lake is a great discovery. We used the kitchen a lot and the bar height table works well for meals as well as several great spaces outside. Lilacs and irises were blooming while we were there - lovely when we had a couple of family members come over for drinks outside. Also enjoyed the game table and great TV setup in the evening. The lake community is friendly and there are some unique finds for food, eat-in and takeout, that are close by. We made the right choice for our stay and would love to come again!

Birthday weekend getaway

Where to begin? The property is tucked away behind a small cluster of houses by a lake. Despite the close proximity to other homes, it was very quiet and peaceful. Communication was top notch from beginning to end. It felt like my questions were answered before I could ask them. The inside of the home was just immaculate like it was taken from a story book. It exuded such charm and coziness that it felt like home. The interior decor came straight out of a Martha Stewart magazine. It’s one of those places where you want to return to time after time. Thank you Linny and team for a wonderful stay. Can’t wait to come back.

Cozy, quiet cottage

Came Feb 2024 to visit family nearby and we loved our quiet stay here. Cabin is larger than we anticipated with 2 bedrooms, game room, living room, kitchen and large bathroom. Plenty of toiletries for our family with a well stocked kitchen. Washer and dryer worked great and laundry pods were a nice plus that we didn’t have to buy when we washed our clothes. The coffee, creamer, and cookie dough were tasty! Area is a quiet neighborhood, which was just what we wanted. Lake is a short walk with a beautiful view. Got to play in the snow in the large yard and the kids used the sleds that were supplied. We will definitely stay here again in the future. Host were quick to respond and were extremely accommodating with certain things we needed for our young child.

Fantastic experience!

Stayed over the holidays with my husband and our two teens visiting family in the area. It all started with great communication with Linny, the host. Super friendly and responsive! When we arrived at the property, the house was warm, cozy and inviting. Meticulously clean, upgraded, and just super cute. I was a little concerned that it was going to be a bit small for the 4 of us (1 bathroom for two adults and two teens?) but it wasn’t a problem at all. The house is bigger than you might think, and the layout is fantastic. Since it’s winter, we didn’t really have a chance to enjoy the yard, but the kids still had fun checking out the pond. The neighborhood is super quiet, but still close enough to all of the stores, restaurants, and amenities you need. Overall, just a great stay!!

Stay at the lake house

This property was well kept, had clean spaces, and was very welcoming. There is everything you could need in the kitchen to cook. The outside had a sitting area, and a fire pit (which we didn't use ) but it is there. And not too far is the lake. I would recommend this place to get away from the city life and just relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this lakehouse. The owners were great! I dropped them a question prior to arrival and they responded really fast. Thanks for the beautiful place. I feel reenergized.

Beautiful and restful

My wife and I were attending a wedding in Southwick and we couldn't have found a more beautiful and restful place to stay while we were in town. The house was very comfortable, clean, and inviting. The neighbors were friendly and the agricultural and lake setting was relaxing and a pure pleasure to experience. Linny and Walter were perfect hosts. It was as if they had anticipated all our needs and had planned for them before we arrived. The outdoor fireplace was a great place to spend a cool evening with a glass of wine. I recommend this rental to everyone without reservation.
