It was lovely to meet you & have your friend stay as well Hannah. It was so nice that the children enjoyed their teen retreat in the shop area. The girls were just the right age to have a bit of independence & do some imaginary play acting. The Clare valley is great for adults & children & Burra is also a must as it's so historic & a great day out there is interesting for children also. Yes Aimee, I like to meet & greet my guests. I think it is the polite thing to do & I am sorry I must have some pet dog rules. I have these for the comfort of other guests who may not like dogs or dog hair in the bedrooms. The dogs in the laundry to sleep with their own bedding is mainly for large dogs as the furniture has to be protected also. I'm sorry you didn't like me calling in to see if you required anything & it was stressful when your dog was so anxious & wanted to attack me. I didn't intend to upset your privacy. Country bakehouse is very private as it is my guests "home away from home" while they stay & they have the complete residence all to themselves as we only take one booking at a time.

Thank you for this great review. We are very central to Clare, Burra & Crystal Brook which make us a great venue for antique hunting & lots of great coffee shops. I love my Country bakehouse & love to share it with my guests.

Thank you for choosing to stay in our Country bakehouse Accommodation. I always enjoy having Heysen Trail walkers. It often worries me to open up the Baker's shop 3rd bedroom in Winter when the weather is cold so I am happy that you all enjoyed having the extra space & kept cosy & comfortable. The front bedrooms have the bonus of being warmed up by the Winter afternoon sunshine later in the day & it's a nice spot to sit & have a coffee or wine rather than outside on the veranda. It is a very convenient place to stay being situated just a short walk from the Spalding Country Hotel & Store & I hope you enjoyed that Burra Bakery Sourdough bread for your breakfast.

Thank you for such a thorough review. I certainly am pleased that you felt comfortable at my Country bakehouse. I like to make sure that guests receive some home comforts. The cold frosty nights have been a problem this Winter but I'm told by some guests that they enjoy the cooler months & are quite happy with the air conditioning & heaters we supply. I must admit I love to take a nice hot bath in the cold of Winter. Will look forward to meeting up with you again Helen.
