The location of this property is absolutely amazing. You have a 360 degree view of all of Sparti and the surrounding area. The food was also excellent, especially the breakfast (man they give you a lot of food, lol!). The place itself is very nice, though the room was a bit "Spartan", pun intended. It had everything we needed but the shower could have been a bit cleaner. The help was very polite and helpful. I would highly recommend this property if anything for the wonderful view.

Bery beautiful stone built property with spacious room and very well kept. Greeted by Demetrios who could not have been knder or friendlier. The hotel is a little distance from the city so was good to eat on site.

The hotel is remote, but the views are incredible. Food and beverage service was above par. Staff were incredible (front desk & check in, restaurant and housekeeping, all amazing). Loved this hotel and hope to return!

Last minute stay due to emergency
This was a last minute emergency booking so we were not able to see or enjoy the facilities. The staff were ver friendly and helpful. A little hard to find the place late at night but we are used to bigger North American roads.

Absolutely Wonderful!
Friendly and swift check in. View of Sparti breathtaking. There was nothing missing in the 3 rooms we rented. Breakfast was delicious omelettes, crepes, fruit and any coffee you desired. Service and checkout was impeccable.

Great property 10 minutes drive outside of central Sparta. Excellent service from check-in to check-out. Quick and easy. Amazing views, great pool, great food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Polite and friendly staff. Rooms very big for our family of 5. Will stay again when we visit Sparta.

Awesome place and highly recommended
Our stay at the Melies Hotel was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and very hard working to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The pool area and restaurant views overlook the mountains, olive trees, and the wonderful city of Sparta. The rooms and accommodations were spacious and very clean. The breakfast included in your stay is full of fruits, breads , eggs , and coffees. The menu is full and there so many drinks to choose from alcoholic and non alcoholic. This place for a vacation or a quick short local get away is highly recommended for any size family and any age group you may have or be traveling with. Thai is place will be a return stay for our family for sure.

This is one place I'm definitely going back to
Sparta was one of the most beautiful places we saw when in Greece. Melies Hotel is a beautiful place to see the natural beauty of this region and relax. It is very peaceful. It is also quite close to town and not difficult to get into town.

Decent property but felt rather creepy. Including us there may have been about 11 guests. All night long dogs howling and barking and on our way back from Dinner saw a lonely car parked in the parking lot with 2 men in there and they kept staring at us. Hence the creepy nature.

Gorgeous mountain retreat
Hotel Melies is a resort hotel on a hilltop overlooking Sparta and surrounded by spectacular mountain views in all directions. The structure of the lodgings itself is beautiful with arches, walkways, lovely gardens and pines, olive groves, and fig trees everywhere. Our room was comfortable with robes and slippers provides. There was a mini kitchen in the room including two electric burners and a roomy mini fridge. The wifi was pretty good given the somewhat remote locations I can see this hotel being an excellent getaway or great for a wedding or other get together. The hotel staff were super nice and accommodating.

Great, friendly, helpful staff! Incredible property and views! I would certainly stay here again. Breakfast was great and the room was clean. The ONLY thing I would suggest to them for improvement is better internet coverage to reach all areas of the property and to invest in better towels. It was certainly overall a good experience marred only by those two items we had some issues with.

We enjoyed one night at this nice and quiet hotel above Sparta, where locals meet for dinner, evening drink or family celebrations. Note for travelers: If the water pressure in the bathroom gives you problems, the reception will fix it in no time :-)

What a great place. Beautiful mountain retreat above Sparta and fairly close to the amazing Mystras. Delightful pool, nice restaurant/bar, large and comfortable room. Windy drive up the steep hill through a village, but it’s well marked.

This is a very beautiful modern, but yet traditional hotel in some ways, spread out like a small village. I was very please by the very spacious room we had. Enjoyed my time there very much.

A must stay when visiting Sparti!
If you are looking for one of the best hotel scenic experiences when visiting Sparti this is the place to stay! On top of a hill overlooking Sparti and Mount Taigitos and there is a beautiful pool. Breakfast was lovely and the staff and owner were very welcoming and accommodating! 5stars!

We had a fantastic three night stay at Melias. Beautiful views and great food. The pool is lovely and the staff are brilliant. They booked our onward connections to Patras also and were very helpful and kind at all time. We stayed an extra night than we had planned because the place was so nice. Room was very big also.

The hotel has excellent views from the rooms. The service is very good. The common areas and the restaurant are perfect. The hotel is not easy to find, but the hotel location justfies it. The room is organized in an inconvenient way. The bed is put just under the stairs. The shower is horrible.

Pros: this hotel is located at the top of a hill, with a fantastic view of the surroundings and the moutains, very nice. The food was excellent, the best pizza we had in Greece. The rooms are actually all separated like mini-houses. Very private. Cons: location needs a car and a GPS. the neighborhood is not very nice, so walks outside the premises is not really great.

You will regret it if you stay anywhere else.
First night of six traveling around the mainland. Hotel is wonderful. Only 2 years old. Rooms are spacious and quiet. A very large and comfortable couch to sit in the room. Food was great. Breakfast was wonderful. Staff very pleasant and attentive and the view is amazing. Just be wary of the drive up and down. Road is steep and narrow but with very little traffic other than the hotel.

A fine hotel in a beautiful location. Not easy to find, but the quiet and efforts of the staff make up for any shortcomings. Didn't have dinner there, but it must be good as the restaurant was crowded with locals.

Beautiful hotel overlooking Sparta
We had a warm comfortable room with lovely views of the city below and Mystras in the distance. The hotel is new and it looks shiny and clean. It would be nice in the warmer weather as there is a big pool. The rooms are equipped with a fridge and a small stove, kettle and sandwich maker. We we very comfortable. The restaurant and staff were great. The breakfast was amazing, it kept us going for hours as we hiked to the top of Mystras and back.
