"Everything about the Athens gate hotel was great! All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Easy walk to plaka, the acropolis, all types of food, the city for buses stop very close. The breakfast buffet is fantastic. Room 501 has perfect view of the temple of Zeus and from the corner of the balcony you can see the Parthenon too. I don't think I'd ever want to stay anyplace else. The only minor thing is few power receptacles and none are dual voltage, only European plugs and none in the bathroom. The balcony door really blocks the traffic noise well. Can't recommend highly enough!"

"Clean and inviting room. The hotel staff had brought a breakfast to my room in anticipation of an early departure. I also was given the option of a hot breakfast brought to my room. The shuttle to and from the airport was free and on time. "
