"This is the 2nd year we have booked this hotel for the basketball provincials. It is clean and well-maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is enough parking and the area is quiet. It is close to many different food places and right off the highway. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. The breakfast/lounge area is very small but since the price was low, I could do without it."

"This is the best motel I have ever stayed in. The staff were wonderful, warm, and welcoming. The room and bathroom were spotless. The location is perfect for anyone heading to Quinte to go fishing - a very short drive to the boat ramp at the park in Deseronto (the best ramp I've used so far in Quinte). The restaurant across the road from the motel serves great meals at very affordable prices, which was a welcome bonus. There are lots of places to visit in town, as well. A beautiful area to spend some time in and I highly recommend the Fox Motor Inn as the base for your adventures!"

"It was clean and cozy with great views. Great hot water, newer shower, had everything you could possibly need. "

"We were shown into a room with terrible conditions. Everywhere was dusty and there was a terrible stench all over the place. There were several visible stains on the sheets, pillowcases and the mattress. When we informed the staff, it was like they're offended! They took us to another room upstairs. The jallway was dirty and stinky as well. The new room was in the exact same conditions. Dirty, dusty, stinky and visible stains all over the bed. We reached out to Expedia and they talked to the property management. There was nothing they could or would do! Our trip was ruined. We had to head back home since the property was totally unlivable. No refund nor any other compensation was provided. Not even a single word of apology... We were out $200+ FOR NOTHING. Terrible experience and awful service. Is this what hospitality industry has come to in this country?! I don't expect special consierge like a 5star hotel, but you can't even clean the room and offer clean bed sheets anymore?? "

"The person I checked in with was very nice and friendly. The person I checked out with was quite the opposite. She was aslo coughing over everything. Otherwise it was a nice building"

"Got there well after check in time. When i walked in there was two pairs of shoes at the door, ladders through out the living room, tools, curtain rods on the ground, all the couches where pushed in to the center of the living room. I checked the rooms upstairs to see if anyone was already there? Maybe a double booked issue? No one home, except for when i heard an other door open, the owner had a friend living in this attached room that is in the listings description as a room that is part of the house. Guy came out with his hands covered in wings sauce all confused, had no clue we were coming. Apologized for the mess and asked if he could still sleep in that room! I said no as i had four other people coming. He said he would contact the host and check with him? He tried his best to clean up the house witch took a while, the host showed up and helped him out. I was in disbelief, at this point my friends had showed up and i felt horrible since i had booked this spot for us and now i felt like i should give them their part of the money they gave me towards this stay. All and all we got to sleep there, we cooked food in the dishes we had to wash cause they were still dirty for the wing sauce guy. There was a dirty laundry basket in the room where the wing sauce guy was staying. I really wish i could get my money back for this stay. Might be the last time i use VRBO since i cant seem to figure out how to contact them. I dont want to take an other risk. "
