Perfect location for a family getaway

This house was fantastic for our family for a quick little vacation. The location was perfect for all ages. The splash pad being right across the street was almost too easy for the littlest! Comfy beds and plenty of room for us to spread out.

The bungalow is incredibly well-appointed and filled with extra comforts and considerations. Jill is super kind and communicative. Love the location, too - easy to walk to one of the lakes and downtown, and only a few minutes' drive to other eateries and activities in the area. Looking forward to another stay!

We had a great time! Best location for those with kids and bringing a boat. Very clean and owners were great to communicate with. Would definitely stay here again! A few things we would have enjoyed having: griddle, toddler locks for escape artists that kept leaving out the doors and beach towels!

Family fun 2023

The location for our family with our grandchildren was perfect with the splash pad and park across the street. The view of the lake was also nice. The use of space in the house is great with four bedrooms. The rear parking was spacious and made it easy to unload.

This was a great place to stay! Everything is new and clean and quiet. I truly enjoyed my stay here. From the TV room, to the comfortable bedrooms, and the modern furnishings, to the fully stocked kitchen with complimentary popcorn and water, to being able to each enjoy separate spaces, to the park across the street and docks to fish from and central location. I definitely want to stay again! Highly recommend 👌

Short Trip

Property location was great, we had kids that played at the splash pad, others that were able to fish across the street. Loved having the chairs out front to see water and play area. Was nice to have a grill and backyard space as well. It was clean and comfy for our 2 families of 4 each. Beds were comfortable. Air conditioning was nice and cold during a super hot week! Will book again if available!

50th anniversary party

Enjoyed our stay. I feel this should be called a one and a half bath. Not two bath. One bathroom only has a sink and a toilet. Kitchen was well supplied. Coffee was nice to have nice patio three of the bedrooms very nice fourth bedroom is very small with a trundle bed and when that is out, you had to walk on the bed to get out of the room. I would recommend this place very nice.

Jill was great and easy to communicate with. We had a great weekend celebrating for a bachelorette party and the house ended up having even more room that we had originally thought from pictures and worked out perfectly for our group of 7. The location was great and super close to water access for us to spend a day out on the lakes. The only small complaint I would have is it felt like no one had stayed there for a while as there were a number of insects and spider webs throughout the house and had to spend the first night swatting fruit flies. Other than that, it was a great stay! Would book again if I were to come back to Okoboji.

Incredible place!

This is a wonderful property. Beautiful area. The home is actually homey! Jill, the host, did everything to perfection with every important detail taken into consideration. An outdoor area, front and back, were wonderful. Front was overlooking the lake. The location was quiet and out of the way, but literally 3 minutes to all the action. Of some 50 plus stays at home rentals this ranked as number 1. Next year I’ll make a reservation early! Thanks Jill.

Perfect family vacation rental

We have a large blended family of two adults and six children so when we go on vacations, we do not typically do expensive resorts, but we still want to make the most out of our vacation. It’s also not always easy for us to please the gaps in ages amongst the kids. Having never been to Okoboji, I had no idea where we were booking and how close it would be to everything. We were within 5-10 min of everything we wanted to do. I asked advice of the owners in advance, and she was very helpful with recommendations. The photos and the description do not do the property the justice it deserves. We thought it was absolutely perfect. It had four bedrooms and slept all eight of us very comfortably. The beds and the linens were very comfortable. It had everything that we needed. We have children ranging from 6 to 15 and everyone was happy. There is a park directly across the street that also has a spray park. It was really nice to sit in the front yard and be able to watch the kids play across the street for hours. The lake is also right across the street and we enjoyed taking walks around the area when we were not at local area beaches, or on a boat. The rental was very accommodating for the ages we had. There are TVs in every room so there were no arguments over what to watch. There were children's & adult games to play in the home. There was even kid-friendly dishes in addition to “regular” dish ware in the kitchen. We were very pleased and would highly recommend!
