"There wasnt a pool even though the website it did have one. The room we were placed in was next to an exit door and they kept slamming the door all night. The "continetal" breakfast wasnt even continental there was only a few bagels french toast (cold) curdled milk yuckkk and a waffle maker no eggs no sausage no bacon juice and coffee where available ..but the only thing that made this bad was that damn door shutting and shaking the whole wall where our headboards were at. Horrible."
"The room was clean and the beds made well. Really nice having a refrigerator and microwave in the room. The pool is great! The breakfast is good and a welcome meal. I will definetely book again on my next trip to Michigan"
The Turk Lake House - Lakefront with Toys and A/C!
8/10 Good
"Cute place. I would recommend a welcome book that explains the heat/ air on the wall, the local restaurant and gas station. It would be nice to have a couple more kayaks considering it’s a house and they expect more than 2 people. Also the shower needs to be deep cleaned because there is mold present, and also the window sills need cleaning due to mold. There should be a lighter available to start grill and bond fire. Also recommend a shelf or 2 to add to the kitchen because we stayed for a week and bought groceries but hard to put the stuff somewhere that wasn’t the fridge, had to use top of fridge and microwave. . Room fresheners would be nice as well as it had a very musty smell. I’m sure we were the first of the season so I am sure it was it needed to be aired out a bit."
Cozy 2-bedroom cottage in charming Pierson, Michigan!
10/10 Excellent
"I spent Memorial Day weekend here with my wife 4 kids and our English bulldog. My mom came for an evening there was ample sleeping space for all of us.From the private drive onto the lake and up to the lake house the stress from everyday live starts to leave and the peace of what matters starts to enter. Our time was well spent enjoying the lake with the kayaks and paddle boat. We caught plenty of bass small mouth and a couple pike. The beach was great for our children along with the yard space to set up a couple games we brought. We enjoyed ice cream in Howard city just a few minutes away with a relaxing drive. There’s plenty of grocery and food options nearby. The cottage was nicely stocked with linens, bedding everything you would need to grill relax and enjoy the simple things in life are here. The hosts were great and very accommodating. This is a gem of a stay.We will certainly be back."
Private dock on large, spring-fed lake with kayaks
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful, comfortable property! It was the perfect combination: felt like an "old school" family Cottage--- but with upgrades to the bathrooms, kitchen, and entire downstairs, that made it comfortable for what we expect in 2026. We loved the giant screened in porch, and the landing (on the way to the lake) with the rocking chairs… We were there at the very beginning of May, so it was breezy and kind of cool, and being able to be up on the porch and protected from the wind made the porch an awesome place for morning coffee, or dinner. The dock hadn't been put out, yet, but around dusk I sat down on the bottom steps, and saw all sorts of small wildlife. We felt far away from everything, yet drove only an hour to the tulip festival, in Holland, which was the purpose of our trip… And then spent a delightful afternoon at the Chihuly exhibit, at the Meijer Botanical Gardens, 1/2 hr away, in Grand Rapids.Suggestions: If you don't want to be up at sunrise, bring sleep masks; the upstairs bedrooms are very bright, as soon as the sun is up… There is no grocery store nearby, just a convenience store, and a really great ice cream/lunch place; you may want to come prepared with the bulk of your food… We were there during spring cleanup, and there was a tremendous amount of leaf blower noise, from the Neighbors. (On Saturday and Sunday it was about 3 to 4 hours each day!… Only about an hour each day on the weekdays.) We would go again to this great place, but not on a w/e in early May!"
