Relax and watch the birds, the wildlife and the beautiful views from our Riverview Cottage. The Space:
Delightful semi-detached house with spectacular views of Twelve Mile Creek (River) and access to Merritt Trail (11-kilometre trail) for jogging/running/hiking. We are only minutes away from St. Catharines General Hospital and approximately 15 minutes from Niagara Falls. Our space accommodates business travelers as we provide reliable unlimited WiFi coverage and a height adjustable desk/work station with ravine and river views. Our guests can charge their electric car with our FLO Home X5 Level 2 EV charger.

We provide a 3-burner propane gas grill BBQ on our deck as well as a George Foreman electric indoor/outdoor grill.

In our walk-out basement you can find a games room including a professional pool table as well as a dartboard set and a vintage game console.

Please note, for your protection and safety we have total of three (3) outdoor security cameras installed around the property (outside only). During times when our guests are checked-in we have hired a third party security company to monitor the cameras for suspicious activities in order to protect our guests.

Our guests will have access to the entire house. Parking is available for at least two (2) vehicles. Depending on the size of the vehicles our driveway may be able to accommodate one (1) additional vehicle.

The house was very nice, spacious and comfortable. Great beds! Nice kitchen area and lots of natural light. We could not see the river at all, but the trees, birds, and squirrels were lovely to look at. The house is on a busy road, but the double paned windows kept out some of the noise. The game area downstairs was great if you needed to stay in, but we spent our time outdoors at Niagra Falls. It was a 20 minute drive to get there, which was nice because it kept us away from all of the crowds and expensive shops. Check-in was super easy and we always recieved quick responses from the owner. Thank you for opening your house to us! We had a great time!

The only reason for 3 stars instead of 5 was the excessive use of fragrances. Plug in devices, febreeze sprayed, highly scented dryer sheets and detergent, which tainted all towels and sheets. Made for a difficult environment for sleeping, showering and even washing dishes. So unfortunate, because the home was clean, well stocked and decorated nicely.

Nice house and great pool table.

This was a great house to rent and would love to stay here again in the future. It’s nice to rent a house with a pool table, and actually have it be a nice playing table. Great time was had by all.

Beautiful property, great location

Booked for our annual girls weekend. Turned out to be a great choice. Close to wine country, Merritt Trail is just steps away and we had a great evening playing pool and darts. The property is well cared for, very clean and well stocked.

Attractive, clean, convenient place to stay

We liked the location as it was convenient to friends, Niagara Falls, Niagara on the Lake, and the Welland Canal Museum. Unfortunately we found the living room furniture uncomfortable and the walk-in shower was small and the door unsafe. The pool table was a nice feature and the interior renovations were attractive. Our Canadian friends were impressed.

Nice large house

Conveniently located near shopping places. The house is large and opened, very nice view as well. The bedrooms are spacious and the bed is comfortable. The road is a bit busy as it is one of the main road, but inside it is not too noisy.

Nice house, good location

This house provided a great place for us to spend the week while in town to watch the Canadian Henley Regatta. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The backyard was a highlight-- a deck overlooking a wooded slope down to the river. Great for birdwatching! There were also walking trails nearby. Location was convenient to Port Dalahousie, downtown St. Catherine's and Niagra region wineries. Great communication with the host prior to arriving and during our stay. Would stay here again if we come back to the area.

Niagara Getaway

Spacious, clean - mostly well stocked. Needed more towels, especially hand towels and facecloths. Riverview is an exaggeration - you get small glimpses of the river through the trees from the second floor. Needs a mirror in the back second floor bedroom. Needs more decor.

Beautiful house!

We had a very relaxing trip and the house is beautiful. The pool table was lots of fun, too! The only downside for us was that it was on a busy road, which we aren’t used to. The backyard is too steep to really play on, but the views are beautiful. There are lots of grocery stores and restaurants just a couple of minutes away (by car). There is also a wonderful bakery called Con Gusto just down the road with fresh breads and pastries that is only a two minute walk away! Our kids also enjoyed the trampoline park that was just a short drive away. We had a great time!

a wonderful hub close to everything Niagra

This awesome 3 storey, 3 bedroom (with 3 king sized beds) and 3 washrooms, a BBQ, professional billiards table, ample parking and huge main floor (kitchen w island and big kitchenette table, large living room), was--a 10 min drive to Port Dalhousie--excellent Italian dining and waterfront, a 12 min drive to Niagara Falls which ROCKED!, and 30 min to N.O.T.L.. This is an absolutely wonderful hub for a winter holiday that is only 1 1/2 h from T.O.!!! The owner is helpful and very generous, and every imaginable item for a normal home, especially in the kitchen, is available. Go for it!

WINTER GETAWAY

The Riverview cottage was the perfect spot for visiting Niagara Falls and Toronto. The cottage was beautiful and had everything we needed. Checkin and checkout was easy. Since it was winter we were able to see the river. Having breakfast as we watched the squirrels and birds playing outside the dining rooms was such fun. The Riverview cottage was an ideal location for our visit to Niagara Falls and Toronto. The cottage was beautiful and had all the amenities we needed. Checking in and out was hassle-free. Despite the winter season, we were able to catch a glimpse of the river. The highlight of our stay was having breakfast while watching the squirrels and birds playing outside the dining room. It was such a delightful experience.

This house is beautiful inside and out, open floor plan to see everyone and enjoy there company. The entertainment room with deck was a bonus. The rooms were spacious and well lit. Less than 2 miles away were you shopping centers, easy in, easy out. 20 minute ride to the falls, local wineries and breweries within 10 minutes of the house. Christian was quick with his responses with the questions we had. The house rules were on the kitchen island, the bbq rules easy to find in the entertainment room. A must stay if your considering this property.

Perfect family getaway!

Staying at this home was absolutely what we wanted and more! The communication with the owner beforehand was excellent! Anytime I had a question, Christian was very prompt and gave me wonderful suggestions for restaurants and things to do, and was one of the best owners we’ve ever dealt with. He never was bothered by all the questions we had since we were visiting Canada for the first time. The home was truly beautiful. It came more stocked with all kinds of extras than any place we’ve ever rented. The pool table and dartboard were used every night and the WiFi worked perfectly! It was extremely clean and the location was perfect for all the places we visited while we were there. The checkin and checkout process could not have been easier. I highly recommend this beautiful home and hope that we can return one day! Our first trip to Canada was truly memorable! Can’t wait to go back!
