Relaxing Getaway

This is a very clean, beautifully remodeled cabin with a well stocked kitchen and plenty of bath towels. Coffee, ice cream, bait shop, restaurants, grocery store and laundromat are all located nearby. There is a public boat launch on the property with your own private dock a short walk from the cabin. There is not a beach or fire ring but this didn't matter for us - we came to fish.

Great location

The Lazy Bear is perfectly located. The cabin is modern and updated with comforts. The front deck is a great place to gather and cocktail. There is a gas grill on the deck. The lake is very nice. We rented a pontoon boat from Cedaroma and docked it at the pier for the property. Close to many attractions in the area. The check in and out worked flawlessly. Although a bit pricey, we would recommend and possibly rent again.

Nicely updated cabin in North Woods

They did a wonderful job updating this cabin - well thought out and appointed. We were all very comfortable and happy. It felt great to stay in a clean, updated and tidy cabin. Would definitely stay again. We did not realize it was a property on the old Black Bear Resort property. We didn’t mind, but should be noted (unless we missed somehow). It would be nice to have a broom for the deck to help keep debris off. The outside furniture was comfortable but needed some dusting off and cleaning. We would’ve loved to open the windows on the cooler days to let fresh air in, but couldn’t figure it out. We rented a boat from a Marina near by. We used the laundry mat down the road Maybe a window clean would help???

Lovely inside, dirty outside

The inside is great, location is great. Beds are pretty firm, but doable. The outside, porch and entry way looked like it hadn’t been swept in years. I had to clean the doorway before we could walk through because dozens of spiders were falling on our heads from the doorframe. Nasty.

The Lazy Bear - St. Germain

The cottage was just like the pictures, remodeled, cute decor and very clean inside. There were plenty of fresh towels and the kitchen was well stocked with all you would need for dishes and cooking items. There is a lake view, but you are not directly on the water. There are steeper steps down to a private dock if you want to bring a boat. We didn’t mind the steps, but those physically challenged might have a harder time getting to the dock. Little St. Germain is a beautiful lake! We did lots of fishing and had luck catching northern, walleye, bluegill and bass. So many eagles and loons- lots of deer and other wildlife on the property. The house was comfortable for our family of 4 and we would enjoy staying here again.
