The staff were lovely and very welcoming. The noise can be an issue, we had one night where it was just bass in the room till late, the other nights were not so bad. This is not the hotel to stay at if you want to relax, its opposite 1 night club and next door to another, they are open till 4am, then you get woken by doors slamming. The walls are thin! The rooms are lovely, but buttons didn't work for everything and we had issues with water temp and pressure that couldn't be resolved. The roof pool is lovely however be warned anyone can pay to use which is annoying when you are a guest and can't get a spot. Hotel generally attracts young Instagrammers. The area is clean, the locals hose down the streets every morning does make it a bit lethal if you are an early riser!

The Hotel is centered right in the middle of the nightlife. Easy access to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. Tour group pick-up was next door, 2 to 3 minute walk. Staff was excellent- especially reception at the Boutique Hotel and at the pool.

Very nice hotel but in a very noicy area with young people having party in the street all night. Rooms very nice and you don't hear the noice from the street. Breakfast is in hotel next to Hugo so bit walking to get there but very good breakfast.

Right in the heart of St Julians, so all the bars, ships and restaurants are within walking distance. Hugo boutique was stunning and everything we expected. Lovely stay and would highly recommend.

We loved the fact the hotel was Adults only, the room was spacious and clean the view from our room was spectacular. The bed was comfortable. Spoilt for choice for dining and partying. The staff was always accomodating and helpful.

The Hotel is very nice and the room is quite big. There is a lovely restaurant. But it is very loud as it is situated in the party mile. People were all very polite and friendly.

I enjoyed the hotel and the lounge!! The bed was comfortable and the shower was relaxing. Unfortunately, I saw a few bugs in the bathroom when I showered. Also, there isn’t a DND sign so housekeeping woke me up daily.

The hotel was good and so were the staff, apart from when we asked for extra soap, shower gel and bath mat which we had to ask for a couple of times. We recommend dining in the hotel. The area around the hotel is very noisy due to the nightclubs and not pleasant to see drug dealers openly selling drugs.

Hotel is very cool - in concept. EVERYTHING requires maintenance, refresh, replacement. I'd rather have way less "neat" and techno items, but the things there worked well. Beds and bedding were good. Rooms were very spacious. However, we paid ignificantly more for a suite with a sauna - sauna was disgustingly dirty. Fancy shower panel and it kept shorting out so and was so old/dirty. Electric curtains didnt work, multiple panels were completely broken, and the couch was disgusting: dirty and completely sagging and worn. Staff were plesant and helpful but couldn't make up for the complete lack of maintenance and refurbishment.

Regardless of age and time of year, the immediate area is a little edgy. However, going in Nov, expecting the areas USP, it is less busy although not quite by any means. It’s an adult hotel and area. Room was unique and distance was walkable or ‘bootable’. Impressive range of cuisines, spa tipped the balance to make this … an embraceable it is what it is and we enjoyed it. (Not we are 35-45).

10/10 would not stay at this hotel again. Do not book here if you want to sleep before 5am. Bars all around hotel, so very noisy. Rooms are not sound proof for outside noise or hallways. Jaccuzi bedroom smelled weird, like mold or feet. Poor ventilation. Don't book below floor 5 for a better sea view vs floodlights (directly into bedroom) and roofs. Bed lvls didn't match for king bed. Lumpy pillows. Expensive mini bar. Most of the staff was very nice. Rooftop pool was great. 2 nights end of season was $700ish. Not impressed for that price.

Absolutley loved this hotel. Very clean and all the staff were very friendly. Room was gorgeous, spotless and had a well stocked mini bar, bathrobes and slippers. We had a room with a jacuzzi tub which worked perfectly and overlooked a bay view. The sister hotel was also amazing, and we tried a few Hugo restaurants which were also 10/10, especially the pan Asian one! Area is VERY busy, and is quite loud at night but our room had good soundproofing on the windows which kept most of the night out. Hotel is a few minutes from the beach, bars, restaurants and shops. Only downfall was the infinity pool wasn't in use, so you had to you the sister hotels. We tried every day but couldn't get a sunbed or comfy seat at the other pool. Overall I would recommend and would likely stay again if I return. Perfect location!

The hotel was modern, clean and stylish, and the staff were helpful and even let me check in early. Breakfast requires a walk to another hotel so I’m glad I hadn’t paid extra for this. The pictures on Expedia show a lovely rooftop pool and bar but I on booking I was sent an email to say that this was shut. Unfortunately it’s in a very bad location next to booming nightclubs and drunk party goers. My room view was of the loud nightclub directly opposite. Despite extensive soundproofing I was kept up every night by the noisy drunks and pounding bass lines to the early morning. I barely got any sleep. The downstairs bar was also very loud, so no chance of a relaxing evening drink there. As a result I avoided the hotel and surrounding area to get away from all the noise and drunks. Luckily the rest of Malta is really lovely so managed to have a nice time apart from that.

Morning check in staff was not helpful. If you upgrade your room to the boutique side it’s the most inconvenient. Make you take your luggage up to the pool, up stairs, cross a bridge, down an elevator to check in. No car drop offs or pick up available either. The room has a nice set up, but the light system was awful, the curtains wouldn’t close, the ac shuts off during the night, and the noise was crazy! Yes, it’s in the party district but when the room vibrated until after 4am due to the bass it gets really old! Adult only, but they also allow additional guests (all 20’s) to over take the pools.

The hotel was great however the address on Expedia got us dropped off like 5 minutes away we ended up having to walk through a thick crowd with our bags so don’t use that one just type the hotel name. The first night our sink had a leaking pipe that flooded the bathroom. They came in the next day and fixed the problem we had no problems after that. Now this place is definitely right in the middle of the party at night 7pm-7am it’s pretty loud with music from in the hotel and outside so if you want quiet I wouldn’t recommend staying here but if you want to party definitely stay here!
