So firstly the accomodation was exceptionally cheap so "you pay for what you get". It is almost the same price as a dormitory in a hostel. The location was good. The staff were allways present and very good. The breakfast (self serve continental was good) The rooms were very very basic, not dirty. Overall I would say it is good value relative to the price and I was not dissapointed given the price I paid.

Good value. Good breakfast included. Back in the day, might have been a 3 or 4 star hotel. Now a bit run down but the price reflects this.

The people at the hotel were very nice. My room, the floor was sticky. Someone spelled a coke our something on it that was not cleaned up properly, so when I walked around my room it my feet stuck to the floor

Good location! - good price-cost ratio
Central location, close to everything. Almost all rooms have a balcony. I was more than a month. I just didn't like that your friends can't visit you (I understand it for short stays but for long stays it should be reconsidered).

I do no recommend
The location of this hotel is really good, at Panceville, but the hotel is terrible. I do not recommend. Everything is disgusting, the smell of room was terrible, like cigarrete smoke, the bathroom was tine. I didn't like and I didn't recommend. Just the location was good.

Simple stay
I had an enjoyable experience here in comparison to the price I paid. I noticed a lot of negative reviews but sometimes you have to weigh up with the price paid. It was central to the area, short walk from beach, easy transport links with breakfast included for €35 euro a night. I want expecting anything fancy just what I have listed. Breakfast was the same each day but it was adequate for what you needed to start your day, staff were always pleasant to me. Only thing to note is the whole area Paceville and St Julian's is going for a lot of redevelopment so this area is constantly changing.

Short visit
I was staying for a business reasons. Hotel is good location, everything is near. Hotel staff was very friendly. I got every morning packed my breakfast and easy to take away to work there was not much to choose but for me it was okay and service was nice. 2 times in the evening there was no hot water in the shower and I would say maybe a little bit update for toilet/shower would be good. Also same building you have restaurant next to rec, I asked quiet room but sometimes the music coming from restaurant was very loud like a disco. Need to remember that this is centrum where is all bars etc. Rec offer me kindly another room but I was already setlle there since I was half of my stay. It is okay hotel for staying while or short visit.

Value
Very good location was suprised in a good way at the hotel given the negative reviews I read about the place. Big room 4 beds TV with lots of English speaking channels and the staff were helpful for 27.50 a night serious value.

Great staff. Very clean and helpful people. Really enjoyed our stay at the Tropicana, June 2019. A lot of building work going on around the hotel, but you can't blame the hotel.. We will return next year.

Didn't really like much about the hotel but breakfast was better than expected which set me up for the day. The room was so hot with no air, it was €10 deposit to borrow the aircon remote but when I got one the remote didn't work so I made do without. Man on reception was meant to be sending the maintenance man to fix it but he never showed up and I wasn't prepared to wait any longer for him when I was meant to be going out. Small single room looking on to a wall with constant noise from the generator. The toilet was in poor condition, broken seat and lid coming away from the tank, also didn't flush very well. There was noise from other rooms at 3am from people coming in. Didn't like the area much.

Good Budget Hotel for Travel
I flew in for a summit at the Hilton Hotel and this was a choice that walking distance and a great price. The hotel staff are very friendly and if I needed anything, iron, extra pillow they helped out. The room itself was clean, adequate and enough for a short stay. If anything, the only comment I could make was that there were no-plug except behind the desk and they are a little dated - but I slept well. Breakfast was nice and again I asked for a cappuccino and they were happy to get me one. All in all, if I'm looking for a short term stay on a budget, this hotel is a good choice.

I’m happy with the hotel because it’s exactly how I expected.Room is equipped with an air conditioner and with an empty fridge 😃 Hotel is close to everywhere. The room was clean which is a huge bonus because it’s a two star hotel in the middle of Paceville. It was very noisy but there are millions of bars and clubs around so I was expected that too. The stuff was friendly except the restaurant.There is a bold old guy who lost his smile 25 years ago I think and his job is to keep you away from the breakfast buffet(the buffet is 1 meter long and 60 cm wide).He checked my breakfast voucher 3 times and changed my seat two times.Breakfast was poor and you have to pay if you want a good coffee. If your aim is partying and getting drunk in Malta then this is your hotel because it’s in the middle of the action.Hotel should be more cheaper tho.
