"Clean room and nice amount of extra care in room prep."

"The El Rancho is an historic hotel and a true gem! We were there on a Friday night and the 49er Bar was hoppin! We had a nice dinner in the restaurant and did a little shopping in the nicely stocked gift shop. There is so much to look at throughout the two- story lobby. Beautiful Indian rugs and crafts, photographs, and memorabilia from when the hotel was built in 1937. Each room is named after a famous movie star of the Hollywood glory days- and of course that includes many Western movies that were filmed near Gallup. We were in #207, the Joel McCrea room. We had a comfy king-size bed, and everything you need- just not an abundance of room, so it’s a good thing it was me and my husband! But it was beautifully updated in a Western theme, with unique touches here and there! Loved the shower curtain and “do not disturb door tassels ”!"

"We arrived late Friday night from the Mayo clinic exausted and the room was clean and tne beds were comfortable the buffet breakfast was superb and the biscuits were the best!! We came to window rock with the hopes of visiting some of you historical sites and maybe the zoo just a little fown time after a very bisy week of doctors and tests and being told thkmgs i dodnt want to jear bit needed to and in the end were better then i expected. However when we went to.leabe Saturday morning oir truck decided we should sgay a lil lomger. I want to give a shout out to Micheal the maintaince man for all his help, the front desk ladies were kind and caring and the people in the restraunt were calling family members to try and get us help with the truck. We ended up staying until Tuesday morning as the ignitio. Module had went out and parts had to come from a dodge dealer and a locksmith had to program ot all. While we didnt get to do any site seeing, we met some sonderful people and that just means we will come back again to look around So Wado From Misty & Tanner Pharaoh"

"The room was spotlessly clean and very well suited to staying in with a pet. The staff was lovely and so helpful and the layout of the hotel was great for pets as we were all kind of clustered at the end of the hall on the second floor with easy access to an area in back of the hotel for pet relief. The breakfast room was amazingly clean and the breakfast, while very standard scrambled eggs, salty little sausages and some rehydrated hash browns with flip over waffles, was quite adequate and included in the price of the room. $30 pet fee was okay with me considering the cleanliness of the room. Beds were comfortable and plenty of outlets to plus things in. Only issue was a lightbulb out over the vanity which I forgot to tell the front desk about when we checked out. Convenient on/off the highway. We got food from the Oasis restaurant and it was great - local told me about it. "
