"What a fun little find! Lovely spacious inn deep in the heart of Charlottesville wine country. Close to a number of wineries and to Charlottesville. The suite had a comfortable sitting room and a spacious bedroom. Don't miss dinner at the inn as it's amazing. Breakfast the next morning was better than any hotel breakfast I've had in years--the French toast will haunt my dreams. Definitely will be back. "

"Quaint location in the middle of nowhere. We weren't in town for the sites but if you like living on a farm it's sweet. Parking was all dirt and made things very muddy during the rain. Owner/proprietor was nice and friendly "

"We chose Friendly City as a stopover driving from Boston to Atlanta and could not have been more delighted. The innkeeper was lovely, the room was very comfortable with everything you might need from hairdryer to iron and ironing board. "Very pet friendly, which is important to us, given that we have two dogs. Alan Webb, the host, has a cockatoo, which the dogs loved and which we loved also. Good proximity to the Skyline Drive, Charlottesville, and the White Oak Canyon trail in the Shenandoah National Park. Good breakfasts and good amenities in the room, with Keurig coffee maker, flat screen tv with streaming, and good wi-fi."
