"The staff was wonderful as we had a very late arrival and they were extremely understanding however the motel is clearly old and not much is being put into its upkeep. Also we were not made aware the room we were given was one where smoking was permitted. However, it was a last minute booking and the proximity to fairy stone park was ideal. The ac was cold and shower was clean, and that’s all we really needed for the trip. "

"Old and rundown, but if you are just looking for a place to just sleep and shower, it was okay. Bed linens and towels were clean, no bed bugs and the water pressure in the shower was awesome! I will probably not stay there again, but like I said if you need a bed and shower after being on the road, you get what you pay for."

"This was about as perfect a place in the mountains you can find. Rooms are fantastic, location secluded. "

"Friendly staff, room was clean and comfortable. We were passing through the area and stayed 1 night. Breakfast was good even though the power went out lol. The breakfast attended had a great attitude and had guests laughing and at ease during the outage. Id stay again if in the area."

"They said when we checked in that breakfast in the morning would have eggs and sausage. Just waffles and bagels.... No cream cheese"

"We had a wonderful visit and plan to return! The space was beautiful, clean and well appointed. We enjoyed the porch as Spring was just arriving. The beds were so comfortable, and the large tub was such a luxury. Downtown Floyd was a delight with visits to the general store, hardware store and a wonderful bookstore. Hiking on Buffalo Mountain was also a highlight. Can't wait to better explore area on next visit. All in all, an A stay!"

"This is an absolutely beautiful log home, with incredible views of Pilot Mt. and the surrounding NC countryside below. This is our 2nd time staying in this home, and we will definitely be back! This trip we took my 2 sons - one of which has 2 small children - our grandchildren! They had the time of their lives! Bring what food & drink you need with you, as supplies aren't that close by, and this place is perfect! I would recommend this home to anyone & everyone! The host is fantastic too!"
