Waterfront honeymoon holiday home

Overlooking Prince Edward Island's beautiful Covehead Bay. We are a minute from PEI's National Parks, which provides miles of sand, dunes, and ocean along the North Shore, and two of the island's most renowned beaches, Stanhope and Brackley. The walkway located around Stanhope is right out our front door. It connects to the Stanhope Wharf and Covehead Lighthouse, as well as the National Parks. Take a stroll to the Covehead Lighthouse to watch the sunset as an array of colors transforms the sky!

Lovely location. The kitchen was well equipped although some of the furniture a bit past its best. We were there in early October and there was no heating in bedroom or bathroom, which were very cold at night, although it was still warm by day. Bill was very welcoming and helpful.

Very clean. Great lighting in living area and bathroom. Kitchen had all items we needed for cooking meals. the bed was very comfortable. We were very appreciative that our host thought to fill the ice cube trays for us. Thank you! No issues at all with the Wi-Fi, Roku streaming stick or the heat pump. The deck facing the water for a scenic relaxing time. The deck gets the morning sun and later is shaded by trees. We moved our chairs by the small fire pit in the afternoon to enjoy the sun. Great long walking trial in front of cottage. Very close drive to beautiful Brackley Beach. Lovely area to drive around and close enough to Charlottetown to have dinner or an activity and not a long drive back.

Honeymoon cottage

It was an ok place to stay. The view of the water was beautiful!. The outside appearance was somewhat cluttered and some of the furniture inside was quite worn.

A Peaceful Cottage on a Quiet Bay

This cottage was very cozy and comfortable, with a heat pump to warm us on cold October days. The cottage is very small but has all the amenities we needed, including reliable WiFi and a large screen tv. The setting on Covehead Bat is very tranquil and is also good for taking long walks.

Great memories made

The view and location are unforgettable

We stayed at the Bayshore cottages for four days in July 2024. The cabin in located across the road from a beautiful, walkable beach with a footpath that lead you into the park. Bill, the owner was helpful in offering the use of the laundry machine. The cottage is quaint and has everything you need to prepare meals. Thanks for hosting us Bill

The cottage was just the right size for my wife and I. It had all the amenities we needed. Location was perfect. Water front view out our front window. A Oceanside National Park just a 5 min drive away. Bill was a great host. Easy to get a hold of and let us know ahead of time on what we would needed for our stay.

The location was handy and a nice, clean house. The bedrooms upstairs were nice but with the only bathroom downstairs there was a bit of a nighttime challenge. All in all it served us nicely!

Nice bay view from the deck

We enjoyed our stay in the waterfront honeymoon cottage. Nice for viewing the bay and enjoying a coffee or wine every day. 5 min drive to the PEI National Park beaches. Stunning beaches. Bill was a responsive, friendly host - lent us a lobster boiling pot and folding beach chairs. Cottage was clean, comfy and as appears. Could have slightly clearer signage but thats it. Would return.

Super clean and well organized

This place had an immediate view on the bay and had all of the necessary equipment: just go right behind the house and you find 2 separate clothes washing machines and 2 separate driers. Squeaky clean everywhere. Situated at about a 20 to 30mn drive from Charlottetown, depending traffic. Easy instructions all along and incredibly devoted and helpful hosts. Ideal for a couple, but also good for a family of up to four. Very nice beaches are very closeby. A definite recommendation.

Amazing

Wonderful cottage, close to everything. Nice to have access to a grill. Only mild concern was front screen door had a gap that let in a few mosquitos. As noted in previous reviews, the toilet does gurgle a bit and my wife heard the critters, but not a big issue. Thought that not having park passes would be an issue, but it wasn’t. Overall, wonderful cottage, very clean and the view from the front porch was amazing. Definitely would rent again. I researched the area and places to stay very thoroughly and this place is a gem.

We had a lovely time

We had a great time. Yes, neighbours very close but was very quiet at night. Didn't hear any animals. 2 minutes from Brackley beach and 1 minute from Original Richards seafood. Not shown in pics was an additional pull out couch, was great for my 2 kids to share (maybe new?) Remember, you get what you pay for. No AC but 2 huge fans and cools off overnight. Suggestion, maybe add letter or number to outside of cottage for guests arriving later in day. Overall - wonderful stay.

This cottage was the perfect place for us to return to following long days of exploring PEI. Clean, comfortable and quiet, ideal for a relaxing evening. Located very close to a provincial park on the ocean is a bonus, the sunsets there were stunning. Centrally located within the Provence made travelling to destinations easy.
