Weekend Retreat
Pictures of the cabin were pretty accurate. A few downfalls were that there was one heater and it was a struggle to keep the bedrooms upstairs cool and the downstairs warm. Additionally, we tried to use one pan that was either dirty or not cleaned well & it smoked a lot and we couldn’t use it to make our dinner. The cabin was mostly clean but you could tell it was a quick clean with some cobwebs in the doorways. We were disappointed with the quality of the cabin overall given how much we paid for it. The beds & pillows were rather hard too. We did enjoy cooking on the grill, having a fire, sitting in the hot tub and being able to bring our dog! The view is also super pretty. Communication with the owner & directions to the spot were amazing!

Kentucky getaway
The cabin was very cute. The road up to the cabin is well maintained. The night we got there it was dark and raining so the directions that the host sent were a must to follow. I would suggest maybe some big reflectors on the red river gorge cabin signs coming in. I did have to text the host that night to ask where some of the kitchen items were as we were very road weary and didn't think to look in the book. I got a response right away. Jonathan made sure the heater was on, which we appreciated very much as it started sleeting and snowing as soon as we pulled up. When I got the chance to read the host book I was taken aback by the whole page about dogs. Obviously there were some issues in the past with some of the other guests dogs but it made me uncomfortable and made me feel like my dog wasn't really welcomed. Maybe you should rethink your pet policy. Aside from that we had a great time. I would definitely recommend this cabin. We travel a lot and so have stayed in many rentals. This one is an easy pick, very enjoyable trip.

Quaint woodsy cabin
We had a wonderful time here! The outside area was wonderful and it was well appointed. A few more cups for coffee, extra pillows would have been great, but we were comfortable.

Nice secluded cabin in the woods
We were so glad to find this cabin for our dog and ourselves for the fall weekend in Red River Gorge. It was very clean, and included all amenities we needed. It was very peaceful and comfortable. The shower was a nice size, and good water pressure, but it could use a shower caddy/shelves, as there was nowhere to put soap and shampoo (other than the floor) while showering. We were also impressed that hot water was almost instant from all faucets. We also liked the heater. The beds were comfortable but most of the pillows were bigger and harder than desired.

Great Cabin in the woods
Nice hottub and kitchen/living room windows and porch looks off into woods. But they are building a cabin close by so not totally secluded anymore. Nice downstairs bedroom. The 2 upstairs bedrooms are on steep stairs so not for young kids or if you have mobility issues. They were awesome to allow us to take our 2 dogs! Take food so you dont have to go out after dark. The road is long and twisty w clifts dropping straight down in parts. I wouldnt drive it in the dark. I recommend this wonderful cabin with a beautiful view of woods and great customer service.

Beautiful
Getting to the cabin was difficult but the location was worth it. Very secluded, private, quiet and relaxing. We ran Into some issues. The stairs were a bit steep and a little scary for one of the members we had with us but thankfully there was a 1st floor bedroom. The directions were a little bit confusing still and when we contacted the owner we heard from him at first right away but then didn't answer my last question until the next morning, other than that the man was awesome and accommodating. We are so appreciative to be able to stay in this cabin.

Clean, remote, quiet cabin in the mountains
Super clean and quiet location Quite large hot tub leak and the steep stairs to the second floor could use some lighting… shower head has very low pressure… Just as advertised rental, check in /out times are not very agreeable with most schedules…but if you want a cabin way up in the mountains this place is for you!
